I have used Squirt since 2010, and have had really good luck just like you have. I've used wax as well, and although it's pretty good on pavement... I found it was a lot more work in the dirt. Thank Goodness for Squirt!! Thanks for sharing!!
Did you degrease the new chain before lubing with the Squirt? I'm led to believe that drip wax (Squirt lube) needs to be put on the chain and left to dry overnight, is this correct? I'm not convinced waxing is beneficial or works for really long multi day off road riding.
@@arrogantcyclist That's an interesting comment,I haven't found this when when I compared mine to my 1 x 12 SRAM , especially once they get mud & dirt on them . Admittedly my pinion bike is 2 lbs heavier but then I'm the one that needs to loose weight lol .
@@arrogantcyclist I did one of my LEJOGS on a Ribble Adventure 725 with a SRAM XO 10-52 & the constant clunking of the gears changes drive me nuts . I then went on to Rohloff I've got 2 bikes with those but I just love the pinion with the belt drive, last time I did LEJOG I came across people that had broken hangers ,I'm pretty lazy when it comes to maintenance, all I do is change the oil once a year ,it's dead quite & gear changes are spot on every single time .People like different things I guess .I think I'll do another comparison test though on long ride & make a few notes .
Sqirt lube is the best, chains last so much longer with it.

I found squirt to not work well in winter weather it went orange on my bike. I’m looking into waxing I think soon. Nice hope crank on it 😀
Hi, Squirt make a low temperature version. I have only used Squirt for years all year round and never cleaned the chain in 4000 miles

They weigh a ton and create more drag than a derailleur
