I saw this as a kid with my aunty Barby at the cinema. Those were the days of either a tub or a choc ice, an Orange Maid lolly too for choice. I was mesmerised and the feel good factor of wanting to skip after the film took a hold. Since then I longed to visit Crete and at last am going mid April with my son. Despite my age, seventy, in my heart I'll be Hayley Mills and even have a pink gingham number to wear!
What a glorious time it must have been in mid 60s !!! This Song is too perfect for this movie
Watching this video I couldn't help but think about all the set ups and locations for this movie , the schedule must have been outrageous 😳

I saw this in the Mohawk Theatre in Amsterdam, New York when it opened. As it was this was not a kids picture even as it came from Disney. Little did I know then that this movie was the return to the screen in twenty years of Silent Screen actress Pola Negri as Madame Habib.
