    I'm having a hard time right now. It's 1st world heart problems and not famine or finances - but still very difficult for the soul. 💔
    My Christian cousin is on fire & in love with the Lord & she just started Habakkuk. It was good that her private study brought me back to a refresher on this channel. Maybe God caused her to mention Habakkuk bc I really needed to hear that God cares about my problems when I can't see it by sight with the heartbreak.
    Any prayers of intercession are welcome.

    Thank you. I am, to a degree, literalistic. In that I agree with a literal translation of Holy Scripture. But I understand it is difficult to defend much of the Old Testament text. Due to a lack of comprehension. Mostly because the knowledge is contained within the Israelite culture. It is difficult to gather all the nuances of it through the divine text I'm familiar. I like when persons like Dr. Smith explain that perspective. It does help to know the literal interpretation, I want to defend with certainty, is relatively based! And statements that seem very harsh for such a merciful FATHER require a broader study of the content to get a feel for the reason of the statement. Who stated it. And why they said it. Besides these One Hour One Book videos, that provide extra cultural background information, as relates to Holy Scripture, are the Legends of the Jews series...

    So if faith is seeing truth the way God says in the Bible, why do you not believe that communion bread is really the body of Christ like He said it is in the Bible?

    • @TheCableStrain
      @TheCableStrain Před 8 měsíci

      Jesus Christ was teaching (in John 6) how he (as a man with a body, being God in the flesh) would be a sacrifice for the sins of the world. He wasn't teaching about communion bread.
      Also....in Like 22:17-20
      17¶And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:
      18For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.
      19¶And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
      20¶Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
      *Here we have the Lord Himself identifying the drink as "the fruit of the vine". Here he also identifies the bread ....if it was intended to literally be his blood and body....Jesus would hand them His wrist and say "pierce and drink" ..and then his hand would be offered so His disciples could start chewing on His fingers. Seriously, what Catholic nonsense. The text of Holy Scripture is CLEAR, you're in ERROR.*

    • @TheCableStrain
      @TheCableStrain Před 8 měsíci

      Obviously, what they were to do in remembering Him, was REPRESENTATIVE and SYMBOLIC of what He would accomplish on the cross. This is not difficult to understand. It's as simple as understanding Mary didn't stay a virgin forever...the Catholic teachings of these things are simply NOT TAUGHT IN THE BIBLE.
