Been on a Nevermore kick lately. Just can't get enough of their stuff. And this chorus, my goodness!! And I get sad at the end of every song knowing that Warrell isn't around any more.
Loomis is an amazing guitar player. I remember when this song came out around 2003, and I was blown away when I saw it on tv. The video is sped up on his solo. This band owns in every way possible.
Dane and Loomis are awesome yes but Van is fucking insanely powerful too!. Love his dbl bass, one of the most powerful in metal.His style is strong semi-complex and he deserves far more recognition.
Nevermore fucking rule, and the this album is my favourite. Its so raw and thrashy and yet still trademark nevermore. Oh yeah, and warrel is a beast and loomis is master.

One of my favourite & most melancholy examples of Dane's vocal talent is in the Nevermore track "The Heart Collector." That melody from the first section of the song is always in my mind.
I went to a guitar clinic with Jeff Loomis today and he played a song from their new album. Man and I can say that it is some really good shit and I can't wait for tem to release it
RIP WARREL DANE Nevermore really were one of the greats of America's lesser known underground metal scene. The remastered version of this album is much, much better than the audio in this music video though.

@Hertsman50 Well it's difficult to say. The album considered by many to be their best is This Godless Endeavour. If you want less progressive music, and with more vocals, I recommend you their last album The Obsidian Conspiracy. Enemies of Reality (the album) is in my opinion more heavy, and sounds a bit like good Nu-metal, but with great solos, clean vocals, and better sound (if you listen to the remastered version). Once again, every Nevermore album is unique and totally awesome.
That's one of the things that really caught me attention about them. When I first heard them, I thought the music was heavy enough to be death metal, but without the death metal vocals. Not saying I don't like growling of course, I listen to quite a few death metal bands but I'd favour a clean vocalist over growls personally.
