There are many, very real reasons why people hate Monday including;
1. Return to work after 2 days of “freedom” - The change between 2 different lives
2. Comparison with the previous day
3. Can mean an early start with no lie in
4. Symbolises another week of hard work
5. Job dissatisfaction - If you don’t like your job Monday is the furthest away from a break from it
6. Relationships at work - Monday can potentially mean dealing with people you may not want to see or speak with
7. Particularly difficult task or meeting in the week ahead
8. Not being prepared for Monday morning and feeling overwhelmed
9. Hating Mondays is a “thing.” Some people just fall in line with the general consensus
10. Social media - People on social media will often share negative pictures or thoughts about Monday. This can also affect our thinking
11. Looming deadlines
12. Work hours can seem to go on forever
13. Tired after a busy weekend
14. Work has to start and there is no excuse or way around it
15. You may feel worse about yourself after what you’ve done at the weekend (over drinking or eating etc)
Sunday and Monday are basically the same in my country
I knowwwww because we have to sleep early and they then lead to monedayssssss
I wrote so many comments, so I deleted them and am putting them into one.
1. I am in school, and my teachers will not rest until we look positive, and if we aren’t, they will question us until we fake it so we can avoid going to the office or counseling just because it is Monday.
2. Being 14, it is hard to plan things without really early notice.
3. I have like 2 HALF friends, and over 4 bullies
Thinking monday as a paradise day is at much as fake as trying to prove that the earth is flat. You can't stop yourself from thinking about monday as the worst day of your week. On my experience, I don't think all people would be successful using this but I always think about future occasions (ex. birthday, christmas, special events, weekends) and that will give me a small boost to push ahead.
Well being in school, my teachers act positive and WILL NOT stop until we all say that it is a good day WITH A SMILE ON OUR FACES. They will not rest until they truly make us look like cartoon characters living the best day of their life! And. IM. SICK. OF. IT

To be honest I think Mondays are okay because if it's like I'm tired and I don't want to go to school that day and then I'll saying I don't want it to be Monday, but I will accept that it is a pretty good day cuz that means that the start of the week

If that's the case then my countries people hate Saturdays and students hate Sundays
Cause our countries weekly holidays are Friday and Saturday, and for people who work it's only friday
I love my job but everything goes wrong on Monday. Monday can suck it!
I actually love Mondays. It really depends on your perspective and your attitude. Monday is one of the most productive days for me.
Mondays are fine...granted that I can get to sleep on my work schedule cycle on Sunday night. That's not always easy because I sleep in Sunday mornings. If I only get 6 or less hours of sleep, Monday is horrible.
I don't like Mondays but I hate Tuesdays more for many reasons.
