Honestly I’ve always been impressed by the design of the plumbus. It just looks so... _Perfectly_ confusing yet oddly sexual. Even its name sounds confusing, alien-ish, but also vaguely lewd...? The perfect design. I don’t know how anyone could come up with it.
I.T.s like a Plumber. You know, from Ben-10. Except this is a multiverse, so you need a Plumb-U.S. (unity state multiplicity plumber) rather than a single mind state. And YES. We are WEIRD!!!
I still want to know what it does also can't you buy one? like a toy verison in real life
That’s all in your brain
I saw the thumbnail and I was like "ahh yes, a plumbus"
I know right, everybody has one
Of course we know what is a plumbus. Everyone has one
Needs no introduction. We all know what it does.
Welcome to the club!
@@LellsonW 😂
Love the attention to detail in the show and getting to see the people who make it all happen.
Its almost like they're paid to do so.
@@irregulargamer1352 haha imagine thinking all people paid to do something do a good job of it
@@irregulargamer1352 haha all payed actors
@@mjstecyk well if they didn't they'd be fired. I'm sure for something like this they might have standards.
@@non_ez8854 haha imagine spelling "paid" right
"I draw spaceships, and exploding spaceship paraphernalia."
i realized i take "for granite" the prop design in this show, its not like i dont notice, i always could tell most of the background is meticulously created, but i usually just accept it, honestly they deser as much praise if not more than the writers themselves in regards to creativity, i would love to have this job but i get overwhelmed just thinking about it...
what are you a boulder, a rock person?
@@diamond_dogs Ohh I bet that really BLOWS your mind huh?
take for granted*
Funek Imre Either you’re joking or you don’t understand it’s a reference to the show
@@rodrigoj.gramajoavila3178 Sorry you don't understand my comment
Huh, I've always wondered how a plumbus was made.
First they take the dinglebop, and smooth it out. with a bunch of shleem
The shleem is then repurposed for later batches...
They take the dinglebop and push it through the crumbo where the fleeb is rubbed against it.
It's important that the fleeb is rubbed, because the fleeb has all of the fleeb juice.
@@lukeschofield574 Then a Shlami shows up and he rubs it.. and spits on it.
You guys are doing a great job...hats off to the team..!
Noo! Not the hats! Haven't you been listening?
@@Trazynn it's ok as long as they don't fall off a table
Whatever you do don't put it on a table.
Hats are the props designer absolute worst nightmare
petition for a Rick and Morty episode where a hat shop experiences an earthquake
But- wha-
ok
I love that they take the time to film these behind the scenes looks into the show.
2:00 Everybody needs a Plumbus! 🙏🏻💕🙏🏻
Amen brother.
Tbh I would buy a plumbus if they made them irl
Pues si wey
We need a plumbus emoji.
Everybody already has one
As an animation student watching all these behind the scenes how things get made is really inspiring great job
This guy plays such a vital role. He’s so damn creative and the team of course that we don’t get to see.
It doesn't take a high iq to understand rick and morty it just takes a bong
Uhm, actually it does take a high iq to understand, first we got the plumbus which you need higher iq than 125 to understand
OrdinaryPeanut keep telling that to yourself, it’s just a show that’s fucking weird
@@learningthroughpain.7215 nah man, I was just giving hope to the dumb ones who cannot process the intricacies of this show
Idk man, I watched S4E6 like 7 times and I still don't understand it.
@@giveupndie4559 guys don't tell him
Yo it’s the dude from bam animation!
Yeah! I was completely unaware of him working on this show
Yup! Brent Knoll is also a great teacher, I studied under him in his Modern 2D Foundations animation class on CGMA.
@@Esach711 omg that's so awesome! I wish I could take a couple of classes with him
Literally the first thought into my head!
I think somebody must do his worst nightmare and send the artwork to his email. XD, so he must redraw it.
The fact that Brent gives credit where it's due (listing the process of approval, notation, and even source of an idea) tells me that he is easy to work with and enjoys working with the people around him. If that's not the case then he's really good at hiding it. Despite the fact that Justin isn't aiming to be the greatest draftsman, he actually contributes to approvals and notating designs. I think what's great about that is that it follows through on Justin's sense of humor which grounds it with the source of the show's inspiration.
The art director is probably a huge weight carrier on this production, based on the number of assets (props, color keys, backgrounds, layouts, and character designs) that are involved in every episode. It seems like they are aiming for feature-quality work from a TV schedule, which explains the drawn-out release dates and seasons being cut in half.
Glad to see the wonderful people behind Rick and Morty's animation
BAM Animations Bret Noll!!!! He has said he worked on Rick and Morty Prop Design before but its cool to finally see him detailing the process :3
Whoever did the detail for the wall stuff in solar opposites is insanely talented
I’m loving this behind the scenes videos allowing us to appreciate everyone who makes this amazing show. It takes a village, people.
01:10 ahhh I see, Justin Roiland went to the George Lucas school of film making
People with high iqs can see that rick and morty is like poetry, it rhymes
insert memorable username here I'm so sick of the high IQ comment but the poetry thing is actually pretty funny.
He needs a stamp though. Gotta step up his game.
What I noticed is that justin really likes all the guns, weapons, explosions. Everything actually to have green color. Whichever clip u gonna watch. There is always something green. He really likes green.
I always find the behind the scenes and watching people work on a show always so interesting because it just goes to show how much effort and love gets put into these things. Cannot wait for the rest of the season enjoyed them all so far keep up the hard work!
It's brent from Bam Animation~ I love their channel
These videos are making me appreciate even more the show :D
One of my favorite design details in this show are the props, props to you guys for putting so much detail into this show.
2:32 it says season 4 episode 9!! That ship will be in that episode!! Who’s ship is that??
Eagle eye how did you see that
probably the galactic government
@@ben-iu2jb galactic government is gone but hopefully Tammy's ship
Hype
Either it's Tammy's Space Police Federation ship, or it's Evil Morty's new Citadel of Rick's ship, or, or, or, or, just- just like, hear me out:
_Both._

*Justin deliberately adds a table with hats falling over in an episode*
Edit: Hats
Love the behind the scenes on this show!
As someone who wants to go into animation it’s inspiring to see.
Wow never would have thought of this. Cool that so much thought and attention goes into making the props
The video for how plumbuses are ACTUALLY made.
Great work. Your ideas have inspired a whole lot of people. Your designs have become iconic now so congrats on the contributions to pop culture. There going to be around for a very long time.
Thanks
Thank u for this for us future artists
Thank you for R&M, can't get enough of it.
Bless Rick and Morty for showcasing all the people involved with the show
For a car that’s made out of garbage it’s definitely has a tremendous amount of carry weight
Wow, that's the BAM animation dude
This guy does an amazing job. Gotta give him props!
Got so excited to see Brent. I watch all of the BAM videos and had no idea he animated on one of my favorite shows
Hey! Thats Brent from BAM animation on youtube! Im glad he's working on R&M
Nooo English
Really cool video, really chill dude loved it :3
The More I watch these the more i want like a full animation breakdown behind the scenes how the show is made type of show just for all of adult swim's titles
1:23 looks a lot like halo's spnkr rocket launcher. i like it.
I had no idea Brent Noll from BaM Animation was working on Rick and Morty
Awesome prop work!
I love the idea of this guy just like sitting around drawing spaceships all day then getting to watch them blow up. He made the ten year old's dream a reality. good for him.
First, you take the dinglepop, and you smooth it out with a bunch of schleem. The schleem is then repurposed for later batches.
Then you take the dinglebop and push it through the grumbo, where the fleeb is rubbed against it. It's important that the fleeb is rubbed, because the fleeb has all of the fleeb juice.
Then a Shlami shows up and he rubs it, and spits on it.
Then you cut the fleeb. There's several hizzards in the way.
The blaffs rub against the chumbles, and the plubus and grumbo are shaved away.
That leaves you with a regular old plumbus!
All peoples who in making this show really a great artist. Really really great artist.
major props to these guys
I believe I know the episode of "how it's made" where they got the infomercial voice type timing and intonation from. Like even the pauses are quite similar. Granted they have a lot of unnatural pauses from the acting style of Vamping a lot of the lines.
He deserves to be as rich as Jeff bezos
Im glad they are giving the team some notice
I could tell that he loves what he's doing, and honestly that's the best kind of life to have
Art is an EXPLOSION
The very first episode was the pinnacle of Rick and Morty.
0:55 - Modern Warfare inspired federation weapons, they got a mp5, p90, ak47 and a m4.
Max Carter no buddy those are just actual guns that modern warfare also uses.
!!!!
That's the guy from BaM Animation on youtube!
I was subscribed to them and didn't have a clue they were rick & morty's lead prop designer!!
all that detail wow
i like how they had a section in the video where they just talk about the plumbus
They must’ve had a blast drawing stuff for Blood Ridge.
nice to see this good work guys
Imagine someone who don't watch the show watching them talking seriously about how they made the plumbus and be like: i think this gadget plays a biiiig role in the character lives and in the plot of the whole stories
no English
This is the mastermind behind the plumbus' look
off to watch the short clip on plumbus... again 😂😂
I’m glad Brents on this video!!!
The plumbus had the whole studio stumped
Yeah i always wondered how all these cool props got made.
This is the first guy I saw working on this show that actually seems like a normal person.
This is how a plumbus actually gets made
You had me at Plumbus
I'm glad I now know how a plumbus is ACTUALLY made.
Says his worst nightmare is a bunch of hats falling of a table.
*Is wearing a hat next to a table.*
Awesome Rick and Morty Video.
Yooo it’s Brent from BaM animations!!!! Can’t say I’m surprised he works on Rick and morty
Don't you know how plumbuses are made ? The best part is they don't waste the metal pieces , they are repurposed for future batches .
That looks like the best job ever
Everyone does an amazing job!
So THAT’S how a plumbus is made.
Man... I enjoyed this way too much. Haha
You just know they're gonna fit in that table with the hats falling over sooner or later
oh man, i could watch a full breakdown on R&M props.
So what do you do for a living?
“I draw spaceships”
0:00 AAAAAYYYY ITS THAT GUY FROM BAM ANIMATION
I remember him from BaM animation's channel
Keep up the good work!
Props to this guy
hats off to this guy
Animation must be a very interesting job
This man has my dream job
When do the new episodes come out on Hulu
I knew Brent worked on the show but did not expect his face to be here
That's so cool lol
Hey brent that dude taught me alot from bam animation i love those guys
I still can't believe they gave us an answer to what Columbus was made for. which is that it was intentionally made to be confusing.
was hoping for more info about the plumbus
Hell yeah Brent! Bam Animation represent!!
...Dude, now that you explained your fear? Your team will make a hat based episode. You know it's true.
Tell Dan he’s about to die. This red shirt is a huge foreshadowing.
yaaayyy brent no i understand why bam animation is so awesome
Any idea, for what plumbass are for?
Still can't figure it out.
BEST SHOW EVAAAAA!!!
Oh the Bam animation dude!
