I’m so glad those fur baby’s were rescued and living the lives they always should have been living! Although animal cruelty is now a Federal offense here in the US, I’ve yet to see it do any good. We still have puppy mils and such abused dogs that you just want to cry. We’re fighting for harsher laws, unfortunately the politics of it takes too long in my opinion.
And in 5 years they will be able to start collecting and abusing dogs again! Frigging insanity.

Punishment for abusing animals needs to be more severe. Higher monetary fines and years in jail for extreme cruelty. These poor loving souls treated so horribly. I’m always grateful to the people who have heart. Thank goodness for them.
How the scumbags who kept these dogs purposefully in such horrendous conditions were able to skate and can actually had more after 5 years is absolutely disgusting.
The couple that were the abusers got off too light. Instead of a 400-pound fine how about a 400-pound fine per dog, how about a longer time in jail and how about not allowing them to ever own any animal again. I am disgusted at the light sentence they got.

Was going to say the same thing. Woefully inadequate sentence. They should have faced jail time, a much heavier fine and banned from keeping animals for life.
That's a slap on the wrist for those people! Here in the US, animal cruelty is a felony in all 50 states,DC and territories/possessions! Assuming they got a good attorney working on the animals' behalf, and a judge who really cares about animals, those idiots would be in prison!
Plus a lifetime ban on owning any pets if they go to prison for animal abuse which happens.
Animal abusers, including the BLM, get nothing here in the U.S. either. What little legislation is in place is a joke...
Heartbreaking and thank goodness the paramedics tipped off the RSPCA!! This is why I'm secretary/trustee for my local RSPCA branch!!

That is why we have abused animals - because they can get away with it.
People who are cruel to animals don't deserve to have them. Those people should never be allowed to keep animals again. I'm glad Ruby's story has a happy ending.

Thankful for the people who rescued those dogs. Penalties need to be harsher for this level of abuse.
The rescue I volunteer for pulled 104 dogs out of one house. I ended up fostering then keeping the most scared one. He’s still traumatized from the experience, but he now knows love and shows love and has the biggest goofy grin at all times.

I am fed up with watching these videos and having to fight tears and nothing changes . No sooner is their a happy ending then another sweet angel takes its place. Thank God for people like yourself and others . There is positively no other service that holds such honor and a special place in heaven for all animal lovers that try to make a difference
Disgusting ,how these sub humans live with themselves is beyond me,what I don't understand ,is why they kept animals certainly was not to love and care for them ,so what was it for ,I think they must be brain dead !! Thank God for earth angels God bless the rescuers ,like that lady and countless others who are kind ,the tears we all shed on the animals behalf ,we could turn up a massive tidal wave .love you all x❤
I never would have guessed Ruby was a white dog. I'm so happy all the dogs were rescued. Very disappointed with no jail time and huge fines for the people that mistreated the dogs.

These rescued pups must feel GRATEFUL to the kind souls that have adopted them. Bless these wonderful new dog-parents for their love and care.
They should make the perpetrators pay for all of the vet bills, as well as boarding costs until they're rehomed

People are just aweful and DO NOT DESERVE PETS IF THEY ABUSE THEM. The laws MUST CHANGE! the sentencing was not strict enough!
White fur!!! And in that cage it was yellow and brown! So beautiful now. I'm glad she was rescued.
This is a good example of animal hoarding. Something that unfortunately continues to occur. The only ones who suffer are the animals. I am glad the paramedics called this one in. They saved a lot of innocent dogs that day. I am happy to hear they now have forever homes, where they are loved and well cared for. Thank you for sharing this story.

The biggest trouble is this is not country exclusive - it is world exclusive!!!!! In Australia, cruelty, breeding farms, families unable to look after their pets due to financial instability. Kudos to the worlds, rescue facilities,, animal sanctuaries and others who are saving the unwanted.

How can people do this??? I can't even imagine being a dog living in those horrific conditions. The dog in the hamster cage broke me. The worst part of abuse like this is that if it's all a dog has ever known, they think that living like this is normal because they've never known anything else. That thought shatters my heart, because I know that so many dogs are born into these conditions and die in them, never being one of the lucky ones who is rescued. I rescue street animals, and that thought of dogs living a whole life like this is almost unbearable to me. There isn't an animal on Earth who deserves this. 😢😢💔💔

its clear UK doesn't see animals as creatures who matter, as shown in the lack of punishment for this couple as well as the ridicules ban on the XL bully breeds I am so happy these sisters found each other & are in loving home that they deserve

Sounds like England needs to step up punishments for animal abuse. They should be in prison. That's so sweet that these 2 dogs are sisters and stay friends
Then pray Islam doesn't take over in England... What happened to Ruby and her sister, will look like child's play... In Islam dogs are considered unclean, filthy and fair game for abuse and torture.
The sentences are nowhere near enough. I never understand why people are so cruel. I am so pleased that Ruby & Co have now got happy forever homes.

@rescuevet - Scott what are the legal implications / consequences of animal cruelty and abuse in this country 🤔. Why did these “people “ not get lifetime bans on keeping animals etc or custodial sentences 🤔. The “sentences” given out here just seem to me like the courts are saying animals don’t really matter as much worse sentences are given out for lesser crimes. It’s just wrong 😢😡. This is not just a couple of animals - which would be bad enough, but 49 ! That is serious large scale cruelty and abuse and should be dealt with as such and not basically a slap on the wrists that our courts seem to give out these days 🤬. Rant over 🤐

It is just absolutely awful to see what these poor dogs went through! and to be honest , I don't think the punishment fits the crimes. It seems a mere slap on the wrist really. They should have been given a LIFETIME ban from keeping animals!! Five years is nothing! and a 15 week suspended sentence???
My mum used to be a vet and I remember a similar case. The sad thing back then was that the man neglecting the animals started with the best intention and took animals in that people no longer wanted. He became overwhelmed and was afraid of asking for help. Since then I try imagine that lots of neglect cases are tragedies on every level animal and human alike.

My baby was part of a hoard of almost 200 Yorkies. We even have a Facebook group and have get together. Also most have done dna and I know her relatives!

What an emotional video to see - started off very upsetting and angry then became happier. I’ll never understand how or why someone could treat defenceless innocent animals in such a horrific and cruel manner and think it’s ok. They don’t deserve to be called human beings 🤬. Thankfully all the animals were rescued and are now in safe and loving homes living the lives they deserve 😊. Jayne and Emily are wonderful people and have my heartfelt respect and admiration for giving Ruby and Winnie the love and care they deserve ❤. What on earth is going on with our legal system if it thinks that “ punishment “ is sufficient for the cruelty and neglect those “people “ inflicted on all those poor creatures 🤷🏼♀️🤬.
I love all animals, but I have such a hard time understanding people! Some are so selfless and helpful, yet others so selfish and cruel. And how is it that some people are so driven to rescue these poor creatures, yet go home and choose to eat other equally sentient beings who were abused and enslaved in equally deplorable conditions? There is absolutely no need to eat animals as we can get all the nutrients we need straight from plants, as most "livestock" that gets eaten do.

I found this video because I was looking for some information on our dog Blue who we adopted from the RSPCA. All we know about him is he came from a hoarder situation, he was found caged in an outhouse with another small dog. He's an absolute bug and settled in really well into our family, he's terrified of cages though, understandably. We got him 4 years ago though so this would be too recent.
They should be jailed for at least 10 years and banned from keeping any animal for life! I’m so please they found loving homes. ❤

In the US, animal abuse is a felony, as it should be. That judgment was a joke. Why do people feel the need to have 49 dogs? I love animals and if I didn’t keep a reign on myself I would have more than the two I have. We have 12 acres and 12 dogs on the property.

the dark staining on Ruby and Winnie's eyes may be caused by allergies to their food. I had a Maltese with this problem and when I started making his food, very easy to do, the staining went away. My vet gave me a recipe for homemade food, and I made my own for years.
I hope all those dogs were rescued. Please tell me that they were.

I couldn't look at the beginning of it, just glimpses. Scumbags is right. The poor little souls who had no choice but to live in their own shit. WTF is wrong with people and then the judge practically let them off with their crimes. So sad. Imagine even contemplating letting them have more animals. So upset for these little angels.
Jane looking at Rubys eyes how red her fur is around them I believe that is caused with the chemicals in tap water. I have a white Maltese dog and I never give her water from the tap, I boil it first then let it cool my dog hasn’t got that red on her fur, I’m just saying Jane it’s something you could try. Ruby looks a beautiful dog I’m like you how can people treat them so cruel.🐶🐶🐶
That kind of stuff happens here in Ohio,, in fact the authorities raided 3 places just this past week and one woman had over 20 dead dogs and over 30 dogs that was alive and rescued. She got over 20yrs and can't NEVER have another pet of any kind
I'm, honestly, shocked the sentences are that severe. In my area animal welfare laws are just shy of unenforceable. When the mistreatment is severe enough, it's typically a small fine. Our Humane Society still pursues them, but it's disappointing. Sometimes the law is so stable it basically stands still.
Question: Will this couple be monitored to ensure that they do not own any animals during the 5 years?
