Kari, the Clarins oil probably smells like Frankincense, because that oil is known to help repair skin. I’m not a fan either.

I would highly recommend that you try the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate. It is a fragranced oil but the smell doesn't linger. This stuff changed my skin, took away all of my texture especially in my tzone where I'm oily. If you can get a tester or mini size, give it a go, I love it! 😍

I like hearing your thoughts on everything. I truly feel like I can trust your recommendations. As far as the high end products it’s always nice to hear when we’re not missing out on that thinking that it’s the latest and greatest and having FOMO. Longtime Olaplex user. I went from super-fine, limp hair that I had to keep in a pixie to being able to wear a bob style without it looking like spaghetti (and not the yummy kind). I don't use the in-home stuff anymore though because I don't need to. I only get a treatment done when my stylist colors my hair. But I can recommend the bond reconstructor oil and bond smoothing styler product from L'Anza.
