Merry Christmas you two! When you were describing the Oscars that this movie was robbed of, I want to emphasize the Sound Design overall. The score, the sound, the mix... It's all so good.
This movie is so underrated for more than just Stewart's actually GOATed performance.
Princess Diana is an Icon the true queen
Kristen Stewart really understood the assignment. Also, the Lady Diana comeback was happening one after the other. There were 2 musicals, two versions in ‘The Crown’, and then ‘Spencer’.

Anne bolin had the same exact story of princess Diana it's crazy looking it up i couldn't believe how similar they were
A lot of people were confused by the correlation to Anne Boleyn but so few people know that Anne was a direct ancestor of Diana herself. And just like Diana, she was a royal figure who was put in the public spotlight and publicly (in Anne's case literally) executed solely on the basis of rumor and public perception/speculation. Hence why Diana asks "will they kill me do you think?" Her head is the only one that's actually on the metaphorical chopping block. She’s a young beautiful woman who is constantly in the public spotlight but still desperately is clinging to being a good mother and wife.
This film is a masterpiece. I totally agree this film was Oscar worthy. Merry Christmas. 🎄

I love the films hopeful ending. It gave Diana the happy ending in film, that she did not have in life. And while it might not be true, it’s right. F the haters. Diana would have liked this movie. And ripped those pearls right off. 👏🏼

I don't think she ever was. Her performances in 'Adventureland' and 'Clouds of Sils Maria' are incredible. She actually did an interview and said she lost interest in playing Bella in the 'Twilight' movies and admitted that 'Breaking Dawn' was subpar.

Hi, Portrait of a Lady on Fire is my top film and Claire Mathon is the cinematographer for both films, she is amazing and many Oscars should have gone to Spencer for many reasons but her vision is 🥰🥰! This film is shot and performed in a way that hits you so hard, in my top 5, Kristen is gold, recommend POALOF if you have not viewed as well for another masterpiece, thanks✌️!

No offense to any British people in the comments....BUT, they seem to be wound way more tightly than us Americans. I can only imagine how prim and proper and everything especially the Royals,has to be. I'm sure that everything has its place and they have high expectations for everyone especially the princess/queen. We're just too different to ever understand.

Elizabeth debicki portrayal of Diana in the crown is superior
I actually love Queen Elizabeth II and Diana. Two entirely different women but both iconic and inspirational. The Queen was 100% married to her duty as head of state.
Kristen did a great job but Elizabeth Debicki IS Princess Diana.
🤮🤢 this movie was SO BAD to me. Not because of Kristen.... It was one of the few times that Twilight twitch actually worked for her. But the plot and script was so bland.
