Those are actually his false chords, I'm Hispanic rolling like that takes place within the mouth and you couldn't get that sound. He sounds like a pissed off alligator.
@@johnc.hammersticks according to a few harsh vocalist reactors Ive watched they lean more towards the tongue roll. So im going by what they say. Id love for Alex to do an interview and discuss it personally though
@bazamere2091 been a singer since I was 7 and I play many instruments as well as having vocal training when my voice changed in high school. The roll would be further in the middle usually and would hamper the air getting by. I'm also Hispanic and I speak 3 languages, I know what a rolled R sounds like. My great uncle was also a linguist and showed me what parts of my mouth to use learning music and languages. He has heavy false cords that's why sometimes even on his one take you can hear a double tone in his voice. His Power also comes from his core, back and chest muscles, that's why he is jacked. He sings breakdowns with no mic at shows. So no, no tounge roll, it wouldn't sound like a gator like he does.
