I got one of these shortly after purchasing my 18. Super easy and it does provide function as well as some good looks
After installing this on my 2020 Eco:
1. I had to take the positive battery cable off to make room for the braces to get on the passenger side bolts. I don't know how you did it here but there was no way the braces were going to slide in under that tight a space. Surprisingly, after reconnecting the battery cable, all my settings were still there like before. So in the end, No biggie.
Watch the plastic clips. I dropped the bottom half of one of them from the battery cover and I can't find it now! It didn't hit the ground and I looked around that engine bay as best I could but no luck.
2. I don't know how you fit a socket wrench to get at that passenger side screw under the cowl. Mines was SUPER tight and I ended up using a wrench instead which was a PITA and took longer.
3. When installing the 4 new nuts, they will feel EXTREMELY tight like you are cross threading them. I was worried and called Ford Performance and the guy assured me that's the way its supposed to be with these special nuts.
Overall simple install. The package was well packaged but I noticed a knick in the cross brace on mine. Not sure how that happened.
26ft lbs for the cowl bolts (13mm) and 41ft lbs for the strut bolts (15mm) as per the instructions that fell out of the box..
Got mine today will install this weekend! 👍🏻

Torque specs for the extension bolts and for the bolts that attach the brace itself? Are the torque specs in the instructions?
Where’s the cowl extension brace ? The factory supplied 3 pieces on the performance pack cars
The Cowl Brace Extension Panel should really be included in this package.

Keep in mind is going to be a pain in the ass to get to your spark plugs with the crowl brace on I saw it and was like nope not doing it in the street with it being cold as hell out lol

He forgot to mention one key detail. The brace needs to be talked down to 41 lbs. How he forgot to mention that, god only knows?

because the engine/intake manifold sits so high up that the hood wouldn’t close. just get a steeda g track brace, kinda works the same but definitely not as well
And please don’t drop the screw down in the engine.
Or you may be going to ford for new one.

Sorry to tell you that you’re wrong but I actually have a Mustang GT 15+ and it does not come with a strut tower brace from factory... if you’re going to try to be as professional as possible to try to get things correct

@@PchipZ91 correct, my base model '18 GT did not come with the cowl brace, just the plastic piece that comes out on the passenger side. I just installed these two parts about an hour ago. The difference is immediately noticeable.
