Very descriptive composition, great orchestration......very full, lush string writing. Reminds me of early 20th century romantic period writing. Well done.

Thanks, I was definitely going for that old-fashioned feel. Would love to expand and add more layers, but the bones are there!

@michaelreynolds1177 if expansion is what you want, perhaps think horizontally extending the piece as your arrangement, in my opinion, is very well orchestrated and doesn't necessarily need more breadth. But it is personal choice. Keep up the great composing.

Hi, I love modern orchestral music and this one is beatifully done. I am a self taught composer and I would be glad if you could comment on some of my pieces here on YT. Thank you!

Thank you, it’s nice to be asked. I will give them a listen but everyone works differently and wants different things. I try to imagine where I am and what’s happening (a sort of storyboard) before I even touch my keyboard and that helps a lot, visualising different events helps to bring some contrast and excitement too. But the best way to learn is by listening to those who inspire you and see how they use the orchestra to convey a feeling and how they keep you interested. I am self taught too and I have so much to learn!

Yeah, I actually incorporate the thought process in my most recent videos by changing images. Yes, there is a lot to learn and I would be interested in sharing knowledge. Are you in?

@@xelasznix Hey, this really is a hobby and my main job takes up most of my time, there are professionals out there who will do a better job than me at giving you composing tips. One guy I really like is Matt Chiappa www.youtube.com/@MattiaChiappa
