Stranger (Secret Forest/비밀의 숲) tells a story of Hwang Shi-Mok (Jo Seung-Woo), a prosecutor who had brain surgery when he was a child, which caused him to lack emotion. One day, a dead body is thrown in front of him. He meets Police Lieutenant Han Yeo-Jin (Bae Doo-Na) at a murder crime scene. They work together to eradicate corruption at the prosecutor's office and solve a serial murder case.

i think she is the person that's some what awakened the part of the emotion expression inability of his. its not like he will have that part of him back but still, it's magical that she can make him smile and feel things little by little again.

That scene when they were on the phone, and Yeo Jin told Si Mok to call her whenever "that" (the explosion of emotions) happened again. She couldn't do much but would at least take him to the hospital. It's not supposed to be romantic but boy did it hit hard. No romance movie could ever come close.

He definitely likes her romantically even if he doesnt realise it. He only smiles at her and trusts her as the only person worth talking to and someone he would never suspect. So far it seems she respects him as a friend since hes a reliable uncorruptable force whos morals align with hers

I miss that dynamic in S2. I like that she kept making him more attentive and empathetic, and he pushed her to be a better investigator and seeing the world in more dimensions. I hope they can catch up soon :)

I'm sad there was no romance in season 2, but I can understand why, it was much more focused on their careers (which is important to both of them.) But even though they were suppose to be against each other... they still became each others "rock" during a crazy time, they trust each other without even saying a word. And she still makes him smile with her "indigestion" joke. lol I hope there is a season 3, but I don't see any romance happening until both their jobs keep them in the same city. :(

Realistically speaking both of them don't want to make a move because its awkward for both of them. They are best friends even if they don't say much to each other on a surface level. I also think that what happens to Eunsoo in season 1 plays a big role in shimoks hesitation as well 🥺
@@animeshaggy4333 I don't think Shimok cares about being awkward (That's the funny part of the show, they all think he's weird. lol) But because of his brain issue he doesn't realize his feelings for other people until they overwhelm him, like when he gets headaches or passes out. I think in the episode where she falls asleep in his office, they talk about him never having a girlfriend before, he just doesn't understand how it all works. :( But hopefully he can be taught! lol

Watching this right now. Loved him first in "Life." When she made a drawing of the inside of his head in episode 6, that's how I started to like her. They're both very smart!
I wish they will deepen more their feelings on season 2 but at the same time with Shimok limitations I dont know if they will want to explore that 😭😭😭😭 but ah they have such good chemistry!!!

I am just a 13 yr old girl, but I managed to overcome the mixture(idk how to say it) of feelings. I watched a lot of kdramas since there is a pandemic, although soon it’ll come to an end(*me watching kdrama allday long*) I will never forget this drama, because I laughed/cried/got mad/felt kilig/felt hurt while watching it.
If you’re looking for another drama to watch, I highly recommend “Secret Boutique” I also just finished the drama, and felt the same with “ Stranger” / “Secret Forest”
First time in a crime thriller drama, I want some romantic part; bcz of their chemistry❤️

Came across this. I've heard a long time ago there were plans of a 3rd season. It's been a while, so it doesn't seem that they'll make a 3rd. But if a new season ever happens, I hope they won't make these two involve in a romance. It would be so so predictable and boring (You can actually work closely with someone and care for them without any romance, BTW, people!) There should be a major twist.

Hwang Si Mok and Han Yeojin look graet together...they have great chemestry...Two people who are so opposite and at the same time so complementery...It would be nice if there was a love relationship between them and it would be interesting for the series...but I don't think that will happen...They are a very professional couple and a love relationship would interfere with their work and would greatly change the dynamic of the series...That my opinion...
