- These big rigs and long haul road train drivers had a 24 hour delay in the Australian outback waiting for the flood waters to subside before they could continue their journey! There wasn't even a truck stop to grab a bite to eat or a shower, it was just a case of waiting out for the weatehr to change.

These drivers deserve a medal for the service they provide. Its very romantic driving trucks, well thats how its presented. Its actually a tough life and often disrespected by most, I have a new found respect for these people. Thanks for the information, keep those videos rolling guys. BTW, I wonder if AU car drivers are also brake checking those monster rigs like here in the US, a road train must be 2-2.5x the weight of am 18-wheeler....
@@g00dl00kinb0i a B-triple road train weighs on average of 100 tons upto 150. Heavy monsters that require a lot of control and experience. Our roads in Australia are in poorer condition generally than USA. To your credit American trucks are better fitted out for Long haul than Aussie trucks, our maximun sleeper cab size is 62 inches. very cramped compared to you guys, Brake checking is common in Australia like the US, you have idiots on the road. it is what it is my friend.
"Flooded River" is a bit of a stretch "Water across the road" is fairly normal anywhere in the bush: when it is flooded you stay home (trucks excepted)

Quite often trucks travelling together will split up to piggyback the other rigs,share the driving and fuel saving $$$ back or to next pickup..common sense when travelling over vast distances
