- The year 2024 has been all the ups and downs for Hailie Deegan so far. While she did get off to a good start by securing a full-time seat in the Xfinity series, she lost that seat halfway through the year. Now she finds herself looking for another spot. However, sources have suggested that Deegan has already found a new team, and it is not in NASCAR.

This last weekend at Pocono AM racing couldn't get out of their own way with a very good experience driver. Lets see how they do without the rookie or girl driver in the seat. Who are they going to blame them
Did deegan make it to cup? No. So to say she's the most successful female driver in NASCAR. Is not true.

Just because she didn’t get to cup doesn’t mean she wasn’t successful. Danica ran Indycar before going to NASCAR. She ran a partial season in Xfinity one year and then moved up to Cup full time the very next season. Deegan has ran in several NASCAR sanctioned series and come close to winning several times. The problem I see as many have said, she has been fast tracked through many series by promoters, sponsors and NASCAR. She doesn’t have the experience to be top level competitive in the high level series yet.

Good, now I don't feel a need to watch Nascar at all. I enjoyed Nascar Racing 20yrs ago or 10yrs ago, today there is something missing, now it's a bunch of boys bumping and banging wrecking, used to be men out on the track racing

Yes, Nascar lost most of it's draw for me when they incorporated stage races. It is like two racing practices inside a race, but only a short race to win, not like the long distances of past years
Indy car drivers don't bump into other cars like they do in NASCAR. Many of Deegan crashes were from other cars hitting hers.

If she couldn't perform in NASCAR how is she going to in IndyCar? Unlike Kyle Larson, she has little experience in open wheel racing. IndyCar is a different monster. Cars go faster and are more sensitive. She should give up racing and focus on social media or be a cheerleader for her brother in MX.
Danica Patrick is the only female racecar driver to ever win an Indy Cars race in all of auto racing history. "Failie" Deegan would be another Milka Duno, slowpoke on the racetracks.
Isn’t Indycar racing harder than NASCAR. They don’t race in ovals, they race on race tracks and road courses which is significantly harder than turning left in an oval. If she struggled in NASCAR, how is she going to succeed in Indycar?

Branching out is always a huge challenge. She does have talent, like the rest of us she needs to find her niche. I for one think those that are bashing her about social media. Need to remember we all need to make an income. Professional people need to be in the public eye, keeping up with personal appearances is important.
It doesn't matter if you are a chef, tournament fisherman, gardener, artist.

Maybe she could try working at her local DMV giving driving exams after she fails at NXT (whatever that is). She would be out in the public eye giving personal appearances and making a steady income.

There is more than just NASCAR and Indy in the USA there is also NHRA which I actually prefer myself, fans have alot more access to the behind the scenes activities and you get 3-4 days of racing to attend

No the real problem is NASCAR got rid of all the practice time and it hurts new drivers coming in because they don't know how the equipment runs and they get less time on the track instead of hours to practice you might have 15 minutes half an hour tops
Exactly correct, she needs to spend time on the race simulator and get used to the feeling of the tracks, it is so real that will help her, and quit running around with chase at dirt tracks

AM racing won't listen to Joey Logano in practice or qualifying and finally made changes on first pitstop that didn't help much after they made the changes that he requested on the second one was the car better

@@padrat88 true but it has been noted that Logano had to constantly explain to the team how to make the adjustments prior to and throughout the race. AM Racing is as if a bunch of guys watched a race from home and one day said, 'Hey, lets start a team'. They really don't know anything about setting cars up. Though, I will say that its not totally on them as it seems that Hailee didn't make it easy as it sounds like she didn't spend too much time around the shop during the week to help gel with the team and make the attempt to learn from each other. I think the best thing that AM could've done was to hire a retired driver as a mentor to Hailee who could bridge the gap between team and driver.
A champion in the car and could barely make up 6 spots from starting position. Had to tell the team how to turn the wrench. Yeah it's the team@@padrat88

Equipment for sure, but if you don't know how to adjust the car yourself, that's a issue by itself

Josh was 2 laps down and ended up on the lead lap, hailie never came back from 2 laps down and back on the lead lap.
This will be the shortest ride in her career after the team gets tired of rebuilding her cars. Chadwick came up driving open wheel cars that require finesse, something Hailie doesn't have.
How do you know? If you are such an expert perhaps you enlighten us with your expert analysis regarding Logan’s road course and Josh Berry at Pocono driving the 15 car. Address that.

@@noahmielke2148 I wish she would go back to TRD, Toyota loved her and she gained the most success. She could still race a few Trucks and run X and fall in with a crew that works. We clearly see now after Pocono that it’s not all her that is the problem.

Hailie Deegan has not shared any information about her next team. The only thing she's shared, is that she's racing at Lime Rock this weekend in a TA/2 car with Ken Schrader as her teammate.

The best possible scenario for Hailie is to be on the same team with Jamie Chadwick, because Jamie is an excellent driver, and that relationship would catapult Hailie (after a few years) to a level of the very top drivers!

IMO any driver that spends more time on social media than honing her skills on the track is immature and not ready for the top levels of the sport. People want to blame AM racing, but she's the one who failed on the track. No offense, but I think this chick needs to do some growing up and decide which is most important, her career or a social media following, because she obviously can't balance both.

IndyNXT, I can see that and she might be able to do pretty okay. Chadwick is a good Driver and will be a good mentor for Hallie. I love watching IndyNXT. I think she can excel in that Series and hope she gets the opportunity this Season. Paddle shifting is something she will adapt to and she did run in the ROAR with the Sport Cars which use that style of shifting, plus, the Simulator at Andretti Motorsports will get her up to speed. Not sure what the rules are that allow Drivers to test cars before they get into a specific team, but, I'm sure Andretti will want to make sure she is a good fit with speed, the controls, etc.

Her Dad will pay someone to employ her. He is super rich.
He hasn't yet. HD has brought her sponsorship to everything she has driven so far.
He is not super rich. He is well off. One season of Xfinity racing would wipe him out. Her draw is the fact that she is nice looking and has a tremendous social media following so she is able to leverage with sponsors. I hope she doesnt go to Indycar. Those things can be dangerous.

@andyschwarm, actually, Daddy Deegan is not super rich. He's barely about able to cover his own overhead expenses. Both Deegan mansions are up for sale because they can't afford them any longer.
In my opinion, Indycar wouldn't be a good idea for Hailie Deegan for a few reasons: It is much different than any NASCAR division.
The driving styles, cars, and tracks are very different.
First off, 10 of the 17 tracks for the 2025 Indycar schedule are road courses and street courses. Hailie only ran at 2 of the 10 road courses while in the Truck Series, and only 5 of the 17 overall tracks.
Second, The cars are much more complex, as well as being aerodynamically and technologically different than any ride in NASCAR.
Third, passing, shifting and turning will occur more often.
Finally, the chances of getting airborne and/or wrecking are higher, and injuries may be more likely.
You do know she races open wheel cars almost every week. She knows how to pass without bumping.

I am pretty sure Andretti has stated that he has or wants a fourth car for pay drivers. Not saying she is a pay driver, or that it is a bad thing, but you couldn't ask for a better team to let you pay for the equipment they run.

Driving at the pro level in any big series requires a level of personal accountability higher than any modern female is capable of. That's why the used to somewhat succeed, i.e. Michelle Mouton but havent for years other than NHRA here and there.
"Failie" Deegan joined the NASCAR big leagues in October 2020 and didn't accomplish squat.
Frankly, in recent years, she has absolutely not been this so-called super pilot or the supposed young prodigy. Come on, it's time to stop. I much prefer Schawan Robinson or Patty Moise. Less Instagram and more training, Ally Deegan. Just a bit of advice.

Sorry but I wouldn't waste my time watching Indy car races now or really ever had in the last 40 years, if I remember it's on I try to watch only the Indy 500 but usually miss it too. Hailie only talent is becoming a drivers wife, it's certainly not on a race track racing!
