Today's video cover both the complete comic history, and the complete in-verse history of Tek-Knight, the superhero interrogator from The Boys universe on Amazon prime. Tek-Knight in the comics is a man named Robert Vernon and he is a regular man with suits of battle armor and fancy gadgets. Think of him as a mixture of Batman and Iron Man. In Gen V, the spinoff of Amazon's The Boys, Tek-Knight is a supe with the an ability to hone in on bodily changing making him a master interrogator. - Zábava

@keyissues I am still on the fence if the show TEKNIGHT has powers, his interview with Golden boys bestfriend makes me think that he is very good at cold reading and with his detective skills he probably found out about compoud V earlier than everyone.
In exchange for his silence and the influence he has he wanted to be declared a sup, seeing how big his ego is I wouldn't put this pass him.
The tech knight in gen v looks more like mcu tony because he’s always in a suit & doesn’t wear his armor 24/7. Maybe in season 4 of the boys we may see his suit up

I can definitely see the show setting up Tek Knight to be The Boys’ Batman. Batman was first introduced as a detective in the comics, which Tek Knight is in the show. I can even see Tek Knight helping The Boys, as he seems to be an okay guy. His sexual tendencies are weird, but at least they are objects and not humans.
Within this universe, even the OK heroes seem to be horrible haha

You completely missed the episode then, because it's very clear he is not an okay guy. He likes torture and use insane interogation techniques. And he likes to ruin peoples lives, he was ready to ruin the life of a random student in Gen V.

It’s funny that he seems like one of the only Supes who has bought in to the whole media relations - he was so in control the entire episode, giving his own countdowns, cuts, restarts
They did a great job of showing how much of a threat he is - really liked the character considering I didn’t really remember him much from reading the book (granted I only read the first volume)

I love what they did. They took what works with the comics which isn't a lot considering how bad the story was and made it work. They're just shifting around what happened in the comics changing things here and there. But it works waaaaaaaaaaay better than in print

I doubt it lol. The episode had multiple references to him brutalizing ppl he called guilty. And we know from his appearance that the truth doesn’t really matter for who he determines guilty or innocent 😂

He could have been a great killgrave (Jessica Jones series) type character in the show. Too bad he turned out to be a side villain due to black mail

Facts this video is definitely long overdue so happy to finally see a video on this boys character I was also happy to see him make his appearance in Gen V hope to see him in the forth season of The Boys. The live action version of Tek Knight is a parody of Sherlock Homes judging from his first appearance in Gen V.
I love that the show humanizes the “heroes” instead of them simply be mindless agents of evil. Their reason to be evil has a background and I like the fact that there are still good ish heroes in the boys.

Tek-Knight is one of those weird cases where he's both less AND more evil in the adaptation. Less because he limits his degeneracy to inanimate objects and more because he's far more of an amoral businessman here

I noticed in some videos where u scale a character’s combat/reaction speed off of captain marvel. That scaling is kinda inaccurate. In endgame CM battled Thanos and Thanos was able to react to her. Which means he has equal or almost equal combat/reaction speed to CM. That makes no sense cause captain America was able to react to multiple attacks from Thanos even though he was on the loosing side. So that means captain America’s combat/reaction speed= Captain marvel? Can’t be. Also before the final battle when cap time travelled he fought past version of himself who was able to react to prime cap. In civil war crossbones was able to react to cap. So crossbone’s combat/reaction speed is almost equal to CM? Ain’t no way

tbh when you hear tek knight you do think of Batman more than ironman. So I think this is a nice change. Although I would like to see the suit.

And he did at least die genuinely saving someone. Which is more than 99% of the hero’s in the comics could say. So he was a piece of shit with a brain tumor, but actually did do something good before he died.

They do state that, for the most part, he is a good person who stays out of trouble unlike the other heroes. His gross-behavior only starts due to his illness.

Dude, the comic version of the boys is honestly just a mean-spirited mess with few redeeming qualities fueled by Garth Enis’ hate-boner for superheroes. Preacher on the other hand is a masterpiece and a much better rep of Enis’ work.
