Breakfast with friends in Lancaster County

We Hosted friends for breakfast last week celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary - now two years old - with people we know and appreciate from our distance in California. They included Dale (without Dot) Hershey; Ken and Marilyn Langeman; Jeanette and Herman Bontrager; Twila and Ed Miller; and Tina (without Tom) Mast Burnett. We knew these friends through work, through community, and l through significantly through our church, the Akron Mennonite Church. I wouldn’t say we were “close“ to all of them. I will say that we were on very good terms with all of them. The breakfast reminded us of the good place we had lived and the good people we had known. We are grateful for our experiences near and with them.
