- Hey everyone, Kevin here. I figured I’d start a CZcams channel that felt a little more personable as I brought you all along on my adventures. Florida can be a tough state to camp in. I usually camp twice a week from November until March with friends. I still camp through the summer, just not as frequently as other adventures seem to take up the long summer days. I work rotating 12 hour shifts that allow me to have off 14+ days a month. Combine that with my sense of adventure and I'm able to see what the states really have to offer. So please, go ahead, subscribe and follow along for some fun outdoor adventures!

Good AWD system, and a driver who knows how to use them. Impressive!!
Thank you!
Thanks for this, no car review fluff. Just hey, I have a stock ass maverick, and this is what it can do. Much appreciated.
You’re welcome. Thanks for the comment.
Once more some guy on the internet validates my life choices! I love my Mav
Yes sir, I absolutely love mine. 60k miles.
Screw the haters, for a stock unibody truck designed mainly for city use this is really impressive
You are completely right. But hard core truck people can’t accept that.
Not bad for running on street tires. It doesn't have the ground clearance to do more technical trails, but there are plenty of places you could go in a Maverick. A lot of forest service roads aren't much worse than gravel back roads. Just use a little common sense and have fun.
The jeep Cherokee were unibody they work just fine
@@OverlandFlorida they need to get a grip. I’ve had a CJ7, a VW Baja Bug, F250 4X4, several F150 4X4’s a 78 Power Wagon with Full Time 4WD 4Speed Manual and so on… This Truck is just fun and plenty capable
@@jeffreysmall8902 They also had solid axles. The unibody isn't an issue, but the suspension is a limiting factor. I'm kind of surprised that no one has come out with a long arm lift kit for the Maverick yet. If you could get more clearance and travel it would do pretty well off-road.
It's an impressive all-wheel drive system, and it's even better when it's paired with "real" all terrain tires.
I’m sure tires would make a huge difference.
Yep, I have the Tremor XLT and the Tires are working great. You drove really well with those Pirelli’s
Hey brotha I absolutely love that it’s all stock. I have a 2023 Frontier S trim and I love it and it’s been very capable as a stock truck. Keep doing it for the practical guys that still love trucks and off-roading and just being in nature. It’s not always about the gear one has but more than willingness for adventure. Most modern day pickups are very capable regardless of size and weight.
Thanks for the comment and you are totally correct!
Those are some cool little trucks
Thank you!
Excellent job!
Thank you.
That is impressive when it keeps going with tires lifted off of the ground. I want to try it in my altima now, see it I can make it up 10 feet... Go back after a rain and show it in action again.
I do plan on going back after some rain. Cool little truck for sure.
We both released vids on the same day. Nice job! Mine is the regular AWD with Conti street tires which I doubt would make it up that hill. But they really surprised me that I did not have to put chains on all winter, even in this huge snow year in Park City. Like you, I don't want to get rid of perfectly good tires. I will get ATs on another set of rims to make it easy to swap. Then I can go up trails like you did.
This video is almost 2 months old, I've sense then added a lift and bigger tires.
While out riding I saw a k5 blazer on 37s trying to climb something similar to this. Tried it about 4 times and failed. Here comes a small 2 door jeep with street tires that looked to be about size 28s, crawled up with almost no wheel spin. The k5 driver was pissed and just left. It's amazing what lockers or a system like this maverick can do. Open diffs are definitely a thing of the past.
It really is an impressive truck. It’s the truck 90% of the people need, but non one wants it.
Hey guys, great video. I am a born and raised a Floridian. Lived in Florida my entire life until I retired to a ranch in Montana. I have dirt biked and 4 wheeled everywhere where from Crooms to Ocala. But I have to tell you, with all those years of experience, when I first went off roading here, it was like I knew nothing. There is so much more knowledge needed to 4 wheel here. And it’s way more fun. Not hating on you at all, just saying you would love wheeling in the mountains. Good luck guys! Keep having fun.
I wheel in the mountains as well, I have land in North Carolina. Enjoy that ranch, Montana is beautiful!
All the gear in the back helps out with the traction. I'm with you on the tires. I am not getting All terrain tires for my 4RUNNER until I wear out my current tires!
I just gave in and got all terrains lol
Nice 👍 is cool to see the intelligent AWD working! 😎
It made it up effortlessly.
This honestly was pretty impressive to see in person. Lol not gonna lie..
I was surprised there wasn’t more wheel spin. Also impressed I didn’t rip off my rear bumper 😂
Great review 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks!
Damn impressive!
Thank you.
Honestly great for what most people will ever use it for
You are correct.
That thing wheels nice, dang. But it looks like it desperately a little lift and some bigger tires.
Yes, it needs a lift more than it needs tires.
impressed with your driving! also with the trucks handling. hows it push through the miles of foot deep sugar sand?
As long as it doesn’t bottom out, I’ve had no issues with deep sugar sand.
Damn, that's really impressive. I'm possibly looking to replace my Subaru Crosstrek soon-ish and between this and a Forester, I'm kinda leaning towards the Maverick at the moment. I'd really be sold if they made a hybrid AWD version. Then at least I'd probably get better fuel economy in the city and close enough on the highway.
The best part is the EcoBoost has a real transmission and not a CVT like the Subaru. It still gets great MPG. I can get 33 empty with my maverick when it was stock.
Good job I like this vid the most. Others talk too much just want to see more action on the truck stock but hopefully more with the ford maverick mod. The weight on the truck give more traction.👍🏼
Thanks for the comment!
What that’s a professional driver !!!! So cool.
Bad azz lil truck
I’m think so too.
I thought you were going to high side it or rip a bumper off but it did good. I'm impressed!
It impresses me more every time I drive it lol
I thought I’d rip off the rear bumper.
Looks good, could use a sway bar disconnect but the truck has lots of potential!
I’m not sure that would even help that much. But it’s did good nonetheless!
I love it! I'm trying to decide between a Maverick or a Bronco Sport. I'm leaning a bit towards the Maverick.
Get the maverick hybrid. The sport is not an actual bronco, Get the 2024 if you can. They perfected the maverick from the issues it had. It wasn't bad before it just got better. I get 39mpg
Definitely get the maverick. It’s so much better. Plus it’s more practical with the bed.
Hey nice video i got a XLT stock Maverick Im impressed question ❓ we're is this place located
Central Florida.
Why did you paint the truck bed a different color then the cab. Great video BTW.
Thanks, its actually a wrap on the bed and hood. It's a topographical map.
What tent are you using? It fits perfectly on that bed rack!
iKamper mini 3.0
I love it.
@@OverlandFloridaalso what bed rack?

I’m trying this w 2wd soon
If it’s dry, you will be fine. If it’s wet, you will have fun.
What mode did you set it on? On downhill, did you put it on L? I also have AWD.
Mud and ruts probably. I don’t usually use the drive modes.
This was impressive and good to know. Like the Tremor, but if I can’t get the 4k tow pkg with it then it’s not worth it to me.
You can't get the 4k package with tremor?
@@OverlandFlorida I don’t think so, at least the last time I checked. it was a Ford ordering constraint thing. Maybe it will be different for the new model year 🤞
@@aaronlouviere5797 that’s lame. I’d definitely need the 4k.
I think because of the front departure angle on the tremor bumper they can’t fit the larger radiator for 4k towing that’s why
sweeeeeet
Suspensions have articulation. Soil has texture
Good car, is ti sale in Europe?
I do not know.
When you say stock... are you saying the truck does not have an FX4 or Tremor off road package? Your truck only has the stock AWD system. Correct?
Stock tires and suspension. I have the factory AWD system.
@@OverlandFlorida Thank you!
@@iiiitube mines FX4
@@OverlandFlorida Thanks for clarifying. Your wrap covers the sticker. Thinking the truck will not do as well without the FX4 package in these conditions.
@@iiiitube I think it will.
I have a custom f150 raptor, and a custum bronco raptor with 37s i know have a 24 mavorick with offroad tires and fx4 and i love this truck!
It’s been a great and practical truck.
Help with the weight in the back for traction
It doesn’t need more weight. It needs more suspension travel.
@@OverlandFlorida that easy too fix
What power train? is this the FX4....
2.0 EcoBoost and it’s the FX4 package.
Is it just me or was that really impressive
I was impressed as well.
Good lord look at that erosion. It probably won't be long before the WMA manager closes that road.
It amazes me they haven’t closed it yet. They keep repairing it and leaving it open. It literally looks like this a few weeks after they repair it with loads of clay and sand.
@@OverlandFlorida well I guess sandy roads are easier to manage. You can just scrape the sand around. They just closed a road in north Georgia because the erosion was silting up a trout stream
Why is the whole bed primer grey?
Why do you care?
@@OverlandFlorida It was a question, Moron !
I was curious
This truck is perfect for light to some moderate trails. If you are a serious offroader get a jeep or trd pro
You got that right.
I love ford mavericks i think they're cool but what i hate about it are people that is calling it a truck.
I mean. It has a bed.
Shut up. It’s bigger than a 90s ranger
😂
People can bash Mavericks all they want but the fact of the matter is you would destroy like a 1995 four-wheel drive S10 or Chevy Blazer or something like that that people might look at and think is more capable than your vehicle but it's absolutely not You will absolutely obliterate an old blazer,an old Wrangler without lockers and without BLD or something like that.
The people that bash them are the ones that realize how practical they are and don’t want to admit it.
It’s too bad that the Ford isn’t as reliable as a Toyota
😂this is no truck. It’s a pos
Thanks for taking the time out of your day to write this. Your contribution to society hasn’t gone unnoticed.
