Iron Maiden - The Duellists Multi Guitar Cover by Eamon O'Neill

- My cover of Iron Maiden's 'The Duellists' from 1984's 'Powerslave' album. The most ambitious cover I've ever undertaken, I play all the parts. This instrumental section of the song features up to six guitar tracks.
The guitar parts were played on all three guitars that appear in the video. Dave Murray's parts (for the majority) were recorded on the Ibanez Prestige RG2620QM WB.
Adrian's parts were recorded using the Jackson Adrian Smith San Dimas SDX. Additional guitars were played on the black Ibanez RG that I've owned for nearly twenty years.
All tracks were recorded to Adobe Audition 3 via my Digitech RP500 pedal.
The drums were programmed from scratch on my Alesis SR-16 drum machine and the bass played on Billy Sheehan's Yamaha Bass that I won on That Metal Show.

@@eamonmaiden yeah you play maidens music perfectly, I mean I know their music very well and it sounds just like it , I actually was sitting here with my guitar playing along with your video of back in the village cause I always tried to understand how Adrian did it and never could play it till I watched you and how you slowed it down which really helpful tremendously and I played the intro for the first time. One thing I like about maiden is how Adrian and Dave switch on and off, both doing rhythms together then Dave does a rhythm and Adrian rips a lead then Adrian does a rhythm and Dave rips a lead then they both harmonize together but on different frets, I don't know what it's called but they don't harmonize just one fret apart, it's like Dave's on one fret and Adrian is one one in-between somewhere, I'm surely there's a name for this sound and you probably know what it's called. In a way, yes. I programmed them into a drum machine using my ear to figure them out the same way as the guitars. Thanks for your comment!
