      No it's not really . I can buy the Makita 18v for £80 almost new online and I own batteries . That tool will last many years and do much heavier tasks . This thing is junk .

      @@TechGuruAndrew but it looks like in case of electric planers. ;)
      Never start in the middle of the wood but at the very end, so that only the part before the blades sits on the piece of wood and start with full speed. Electric planers don't need to be pushed like a manual tool, electric planers have to be moved with a steady and always permanent same movement. Old paint needs to be taken of with a sander before planing, otherwise you might not recognize nails or screws, which destroy the blades at once.
      Nevertheless - thanks for showing, Andrew. I will stay with my Bosch GHO 12V-20, which has the incredible feature of up to 17 mm rebating depth, which is not possible with the Parkside planer at all because of the housing at both sides of the planer.
      btw: the battery will last much longer, if you don't press on/off each second but keep it on for a longer time. To start such tools take much more current from the battery then a steady "on".

    The batteries are utter shite. I had the 12v jigsaw , one battery blew up and smoked and the other stopped charging after 8 or 9 charges . Not worth the money . And the case is not very strong either . The latches snap off easily .

  • @Shandinho
    @Shandinho Před 2 lety

    Never start the tool on the surface you are working on, at best it's no good for the blade at worst it could shatter.
    Not the first time I've seen something dangerous on this channel, reminds of fingers near the blade in a table saw review!
