I think this love story is really raw and difficult, just like life. I got really attached to the story because I watched it in one night, I never experienced this type of love though. This two completely different people ended up together, and they end up kind of switching places and have the same experiences as the other. It reminds us to not forget other’s battles and that love can be found in the strangest places. Sorry if I didn’t explained myself that well, I’m Portuguese and my English isn’t perfect.

If you manage to find someone who you can love like that, then that’s enough isn’t it? :) But please don’t love like that, love more, give everything you’ve got when the time comes. There’s no worse thing than regretting about how you should have loved someone more, let them know how much you loved them.

It plays in Normal People (that I've only watched all the way through 10X!) when Connell visits Marianne's Italian villa on his first European trip after he receives 'scholl's' (a 5-year full scholarship with free schooling, apartment, and a stipend) for one of the best in the English dept. Marianne got one as well in political science. As Marianne points out while they eat Italian ices in the local piazza, she really doesn't need the money, being from a wealthy family, but that it is an honor. Great show on HULU. Watch it. You won't be sorry. I'm just hoping for a Season 2!
Shows like this is why so many pwople are single. This kind of romance is extremely rare and dressed up with beautiful actors soft focus images and music, its not reality. Reality is different but not worse. Romance is a marketing lie.
Es una serie preciosa y lo siento pero no se merece a Marianne, los 2 actores estan geniales pero el personaje de el la hace sufrir de manera gratuita, primero la mantiene en secreto como si fuera un monstruo, luego invitas a la rubia al baile (ni me puedo imaginar lo cruel y doloroso que debe ser que te hagan algo asi), cuando estan en la universidad se queda sin trabajo y prefiere volver a su pueblo que hablar con ella y decírselo "oye amor me puedo quedar unos meses en tu casa" cojones que la quieres y es tu novia, si no tienes confianza con ella apaga y vámonos, la dejas destrozada y cuando la chica intenta rehacer su vida aunque sea con un imbécil que la hace mas infeliz aun vienea tu a desestabilizarla otra vez, en fin me parece un personaje que no se merece tener el amor de Marianne pero la serie es muy bonita, esta contada con una sensibilidad especial, así es la vida chicos, yo sigo buscando a mi Marianne.
