- When you open up FL Studio, it will load up 4 stock drums automatically, a kick, snare, clap, and hat. If we are being completely honest these drums dont sound great, especially if we are making hip hop. So i thought it would be a fun challenge to try and manipulate them into more hip hop sounding drums. There's a lot of sound design that you can do in FL Studio now so the challenge turned out pretty well. Let me know what other challenge you want me to do!

Yes but you see just by tweaking the knobs the samples change completely, three six mafia always put alot of resonance on their hi hats and very unique snares this way. And their keys are very distinct (ain't got time for games). I once created a really dope three six mafia type beat with a little distortion on the piano basic instruments tweaked beyond recognition on FL studio 3 like 15 years ago lol with a qwerty keyboard.. these akai mpk2 mini's have me itching...

@Benn Took Me about 6 months to make sellable beats from first using Reason, I assume it's the same for Fruityloops or less. In 2006 I didn't have the wealth of tutorials that exist today.
@Benn Well some people are just more attuned to music but also depends on the DAW you use. The only Daw I can make music with is Reason. I have Abalten but it just dont work well for Me. Every now and then I give Abalten another go but I haven't made even one single piece of music yet.
