What suprised me most about Pizza Tower is how fluid many of the animations are, it's a genuine joy to just... look at Peppino running.

The paste of the game reminds me more of the Rayman origins, but *way* faster and more gimmicky and c'mon. In earlier version of the game you could've beat a living sh*t of your friend(s), just like in Origins (we don't talk about Legends).
This isn't even a meme review, he just wants to tell you how good of a game it is.
I mean PT is influential for meme culture, from the Lario meme to the crossover meme and even pizza tower humor. It rivals the last wish in terms of memetic impact

in the original demo of pizza tower, peppino tried to go to a sonic convention but took the wrong directions and went to a snik convention
the ONLY reason i ever played the demo was thanks to my brother, and nobody else seemed to know about it

It was exactly this version that I played on an emulator on my cell phone, man it's so good and smooth, I had some problems just with the controls, but nothing like an incentive and affection that doesn't make him a good game, honestly I think it's one of my favorites taking into account the creativity they made of the maps and even Snick, the sprites are pretty funny when he charges the jump😂

My favorite part is when Peppino said "It's Pizza time" and casually beat the crap out of every bosses with the most destructive combo ever created by mankind. 11/10 for solid game design and music would visit Peppino's Pizzeria again.
I feel like what really sealed the game was the soundtrack, as when I did the boss fight for the first time, I felt so much adrenaline. Even if you repeat some levels and bosses, you can feel yourself slowly get anxious trying to P rank as well
They made multiple escape themes, too! The game was so good, one lap wasn't good enough, they made one for lap TWO and for the END SEQUENCE.

I just discovered the game only a few hours ago, and I gotta say: this game’s praise is definitely earned. It’s fun, amusing, and unexpectedly funny. Like, I knew this game would be funny, but some of the things in the game, specifically the jumpscares, stage clear screens, and especially Peppino’s character, sometimes got me laughing for a good few minutes. Don’t know when I’ll pick up the game, but I know for sure that it will happen.

The fact that it seems almost all the art is drawn in ms paint is what really caught my eye. Not many people can give off that aesthetic or even use it correctly, but Pizza Tower did it well.

And to think this is the same game that sold a pizzillion copies on launch, it brings a tear to my eye
Knowing how far this game has come from its 2018 Halloween demo build and all builds after it makes me happy it was able to live up to its hype and quickly grow. Now only if we could get workshop support so all the memes could become reality.
I also hope they would finish Level Editor for early builds. Oh my, it would be glorious. It could make all the cameo level memes a reality.

Pizza Tower was the first time in years that I looked up the OST on CZcams and listened to every song. The soundtrack is godlike. Even the songs that didn't make the cut are amazing.

This game was in development for ~5 years, and there was evidently some sort of following all throughout. There's some gameplay and even parody content that came out before the official launch!

I'm happy to see this game is getting alot of recognition and honestly I thought it wasn't gonna because it kinda caters towards people who know of the wario series or have played it which also this was obviously inspired by. Like I said I'm happy that this game getting popularity I've known for it for years and it was a joy to see this finally coming out especially it being worked on by like a couple people, this this game is amazing from the style, music and gameplay it also gives great meme potential and also even fanart like I've seen people already make 3D models of peppino and it looks great. In the future I hope there'll be more content with this I mean it has potential and love put into especially because people wanted more Wario games or Wario like games but seeing all of this really explains people want that from Nintendo maybe something new or an certain old series to revive.
All those dev streams and demos and finally it’s out, I adore witnessing the world fall in love with Peppino’s wacky world. I’ve been following it since Vinny first streamed one of the demos, and as an indie dev myself its success is a major inspiration! Animation is a wonderful craft.

Pizza Tower has had a substantial following since it got announced, due to how open McPig, formerly PizzaTowerGuy, has been about development behind the game, through his Patreon and the various Twitch streams he held and the various comics and concept art he's publicly shown off. I'd say Pizza Tower really started to get a lot of attention after a public demo for the game came out during SAGE (Sonic Amateur Games Expo) 2019, though I might be biased since that was around the time I first found out about the game. There are still ideas that have yet to be implemented into the final game, like the Noise being a playable character and potentially a co-op mode, stuff that was present in previous demos for the game but ended up being tricky to implement into the final version of the game they were going for. With any luck, people will be talking about Pizza Tower for a good long while, hopefully for years to come!
...Shitposting was always a constant with this game, though. Even in it's early stages. But then again, given the artstyle and the humor of the developers, that's not surprising.

As someone who has been a big fan of Pizza Tower since 2019, I must say it has been incredibly satisfying seeing the game get as popular as it is now. Now I'm praying it doesn't develop on of *those* fanbases.

One of my favorite things to come out of the memes and art is all of the crossover art. Celeste is the big one that kicked it off, but i've seen all kinds of crossovers. One of my favorites was a crossover piece with Urban Yeti, as it feels in line with the actual crossover in the game... which is Mort The Chicken.

The main thing turning me off it though is the art style, I've never been so turned off by one but looking at the gameplay for a bit has legit given minor temporary headaches from how flashy it is.

I'm probably one of two people who don't like Pizza Tower. Doesn't really emanate any enjoyment to me, and that's nothing to do with the gameplay. The game itself just caters to a specific niche that everyone grew up with (90s cartoons) but the humor just doesn't stick with me unlike eastern humor (I am Asian of course) and so the art style is tacky to me than it is humorous.

I don’t often laugh at games when they are supposed to be funny. Like I’ll chuckle at jokes or whatnot, funny dialouge etc. but pizza tower genuinely makes me crack up with its absurd humor. Like those early cartoons, a lot of that kind of artstyle is what I grew up with in middle 2000s, so it feels right at home. It’s a nice blend of that comedy mashed with healthy modern humor and it works perfectly. I’m so sad I didn’t follow the development of this game closer than I did, but playing it now it deserves every bit of praise it gets

I've followed the development of this game for a good while, since some of the earlier demos, and it's pretty cool to see it get such widespread acclaim.
This game deserves the praise and recognition it gets. It fits the exact kind of humor, style, and flow of gameplay that I've been used to back when I used to watch cartoons like the ones you mentioned. I'm glad I gave the game a chance as now I'm just having a ball with it, and it's so much fun!
