I'm not in any way in the market for heated gloves, but videos like this are why I'm subscribed to this channel. Amazing that the gloves costing $100+ less than their competitors perform the best, and I wouldn't have known that without watching this video. I send so many people to your channel when they're in the market for tools because in my view, no one does a better job at giving truly thorough and unbiased reviews of products than you. Great work!
Thank you very much for the positive feedback! It keeps me motivated to keep going!!!
I wasn't in the market for heated gloves either until he mentioned the one pair being thin enough to act as driving gloves.. I can't afford a car with a heated steering wheel but this might be the next best thing
Yeah, I live in Hawaii, but still watched every second :)
@@SparxI0they do make heated steering wheel covers
@@ProjectFarm Suggestion, fully charge and put a nail in each battery... The cheapest glove also uses a lithium polymer battery which are quite volatile!
We need a highlight reel of all the tools and items that were destroyed during testing. Including Cousin Eddie getting mangled. You have tons of great content at this point!
Great suggestion! Thanks
Broken tool hall of shame video. Just photo after photo of each failing. Lot of time and work. Maybe for each year ? Talk about bingeing
Cousin Eddie accident compilation would be epic for a CZcams short 😂
I am a Cuban living in Miami, and we have absolutely zero need for heated gloves. But your videos are so unbiased, informative, inspirational, fun, and well-made that I'd watch any comparison you do no matter how irrelevant the products are to my life. Thank you, Todd, for the many years of hard work you've put in for us. There is no other channel like yours and I only wish I was around from the even earlier days.
Thanks!
Don't forget 'fast-paced'! There isn't a single wasted breath. Lotta info and no filler. I love this no-nonsense approach. As many commenters here confirm and reconfirm, you can make a heated glove video and even people on the equator will watch it if it's full of facts, wit and has good production values.
Dunno buddy, it gets down in the 60s sometimes in winter, lol😂😂😂
I will never use 95% of the products reviewed on this channel but it's so damn interesting to watch. The prime level of content and excellent delivery format just makes it addictive to watch, bravo sir!
Thanks!
Luckily I won't need these living in S. FL, but that won't stop me from watching your video. :-)
Thank you!!!
I have struggled with my fingers getting frozen when working outside in winter my entire life. You have just given me a solution for what is left of it 😀
Thanks for sharing!
You won't regret buying some. Heated vests under you coat, heated socks, heated seat pad. Make work in the cold feasible.
@@flhusa1 it got a Milwaukee heated hoodie and heated jacket. I’ve found that the jacket by itself as enough insulation and heft that I hardly use the heat with it and that is mostly not even carrying the battery anymore.
@@FishFind3000 The heated vest let's me use any of my winter coats . Need a hat warmer. You lose tremendous amount of heat out you head. Especially the ones with no hair.
The problem is they don't last when you're doing real work, and you lose all dexterity.
As a tradesman (electrician) who is often looking at many of the tools or equipment you test, thank you for becoming my go to resource for where I can occasionally purchase “value” rather than “name” equipment. Your methods are complete, trusted, and unbiased…which is why I absolutely love watching even those products I’ve not even yet thought I’ve needed.
Thanks and you are welcome!
Which one did you go with?
You left out the most impressive part! The Sabot Heat gloves are the only ones that heat up in 3 seconds! They use a different type of heating technology whereas all the others take around 5 min to really heat up.
I bought the Sabot Heat a couple months ago after trying about 4 different types and was blown away when they heated up in 3 seconds!
Great Video!
Thanks! Thanks for the constructive feedback.
Yeah the near instant heat is nice. Left them in the car once turned them on and within a few seconds they were nice and toasty.
Very smart thinking doing the freezer test again with that fan! All the gloves seemed fine the first time around but the wind chill factor really let the good gloves shine
Thank you! The "wind chill" factor is so important when on the move whether its riding a motorcycle, skiing, etc.
Your honesty and purpose in the content you create is helping millions of people save potentially millions of dollars. Todd, thank you so very much!
You are welcome!
I've practically never bought any of the items you review, but I still love watching your videos! Great review process, very honest and consumer focused. Appreciate you doing these, and always keeping it focused on the best products regardless of price.
Thanks!
I recommend testing different brands of air purifiers ranging from small house units to larger air scrubbers. Excellent video as always.
Thanks! Thanks for the suggestion.
@@ProjectFarm If you test air purifiers you should test them against a box fan with HEPA furnace filter taped on the back of it.
It make sense gloves to warm fingers more than back or palm of the hand, since extremities are the ones our body will cool first while saving body heat. The Sabot Heat is truly a great heated glove, have one for quite a few years and have never been disappointed - or cold - with them. Great comparison, as always Todd!
Great feedback. Thank you!
That seems odd only having one heated glove .... I would be disappointed 😞 & cold, at least on one hand 🙋♀️
Also the blood moving through the fingers will bring heat back to the rest of the hand as it circulates.
Looked to see this comment while watching the first test & he keeps stating the back of the hand isn't very good - your point stated exactly why it doesn't matter. The fingers are what matters, if they're getting warm that's all that matters as the rest of the hand will be warmer in comparison anyway. Once the fingers warm up with these gloves they have done their job. If he'd had aluminium blocks that reached into the finger tips but stil measured the temperature at the back of the hand the conductivity would of evened out the heat better all round - similar to reality.
EDIT:- 2nd test looks better in showing temperature spread especially as it cools down, the palm retains heat much better as expected thus needing the heating elements in the fingers👍
Very nice to know they've lasted you so long. What about wear resistance? Have you used them pushing a snowblower?
Had asked for this comparison a while ago as I always have problems with my hands freezing. Ended up getting a pair of the Sabot's gifted to me for Christmas and they have been working wonderfully. Glad to see they did exceptionally well!
Great feedback on the Sabotheat
I ordered 3 pairs within 10 minutes of watching the video, they were at a 20% discount, I figured if I was slow they would be sold out fast after project farms video
He does read the comments but you can send him your suggestions. He took some of mine.
@@wowguy3562 Same! Haha
As somoene with chronic cold fingers, but enjoys skiing, this was a God send. At the beginning I was wondering "well he needs to test in freezing temps", you did NOT DISAPPOINT, and you took it so much further.
You answered everthing I could think of, and more.

As a truck driver I find a lot of these videos very helpful. Here is an interesting video suggestion. We get bacteria growing in our diesel tanks, there are several additive’s that claim to kill and clean the algae in the tanks. Keep up the awesome work!
This would be a great video idea for drivers, but mainly field service diesel mechanics who encounter that black nasty algae in diesel the most.
@@GunnysWrenches Totally agree - if you manage gensets in remote locations, this would be really helpful. Also, perhaps test Jet-A fuel to see if it has any interesting additives that keep the fungus out.
Taking the sulfur out of the fuel didn’t help
The same algae happens in Marine tanks probably worse then vehicles
Your heated jacket review was the first time I’d ever heard of heated winter wear. I went out and bought the SabotHeat gloves you tested in this video, and although I'm not sure they would survive hard use (like construction work) they definitely helped me survive last year's horrific winter. Thanks for making life in Winnipeg a little easier.
How can someone from winterpeg never have heard of heated jackets? I've seen them for years over in alberta.
Hey fellow 'pegger. About to buy some for the wife and I. The cold is on its way. Good luck.
You are welcome! Thanks for sharing.

I’d love to see a heated motorcycle glove comparison. Maybe you could check the crush and abrasion resistance, as well as the heat and your opinion on dexterity.
Regardless, thank you for all these great reviews! ❤
Thank you for the video idea!
Plus 1 for this video idea.
+1 for Gerbing gloves
Plus one as well
Along the same lines, though I’m interested for snowbiking, I’d be curious about water proofing as well. In my experience, cheaper gloves tend to be less waterproof and durable as well.
I've ask a couple months ago for that test and here it is ! Thanks and continue the good work. Your the number 1 reference for everything I bought. !!!!
Thanks, will do! Thanks for requesting this video idea.
The absolute best reviews anywhere. Thank you, I cannot imagine how much time and expense goes into this. Much appreciated
If ProjectFarm did a comparison on nail clippers I'd watch. I would also expect them to be tested to destruction!
Thank you!
“…and the Rexall brand just couldn’t make it through the galvanized roofing nail.”
That's actually a very good suggestion! It's hard to find a nail clipper that doesn't crack the nail, unless you clip them right after showering when your fingernails have some moisture in them. Of course I'm buying $5 nail clippers so that might be the problem...
@@beercanrich99 or you have nail fungus. Nails should never be hard enough to crack.
I bought some Green Bell Japanese ones and while very expensive, they don't leave a nice finish on your nails and you have to file/buff after. Well made and easy to use though!
As a long distance runner in the northeast with Reynaud's, I was fascinated with this. I've been using Savior gloves for the past 3 years and I have been very happy with them. My advice for those looking to get these, I wear thin liners under them to reduce the sweating into the good gloves. I also purchased larger capacity batteries, because what's a few extra grams when your gloves are already a half pound 😂. Excellent video, as always!!
Interesting!
Disclaimer: I’m a PA.
Reynauds can be threatening to distal extremities, like fingers if exposed for lengthy durations. It’s a vasospasm disorder; therefore, calcium channel blockers can be super helpful for those who spend lots of time in the elements. I’m sure you don’t need blood pressure control but those meds do that as well. Just food for thought. 👍

I wonder how wearing rubber gloves would do with the sweating issue? More or less,,,hmm
Videos like this show how invaluable this channel and your time are. Your testing methods are top notch as always. I would love to see a rechargeable headlamp comparison video, so many die very fast in the cold and dont stand up to abuse.
Thanks and you are welcome! Thanks for the suggestion.
I live in one of the colder regions of Alaska and I have poor circulation in my fingers, which can be pretty dangerous in the winter. Thank you for helping me find my next pair of heated gloves!
You are welcome!
Once again, you knocked it out of the park! I can’t tell you how much I enjoy your videos, and how much they’ve influence by buying decisions over the last few months. So glad that I found you. I’m going to order gloves based off your review! Keep up the good work.

This is exactly what I needed to see. I struggle to keep my hands warm riding my motorcycle in the fall. This video will help me make an informed decision.

You are an asset to the world Todd for the great work you do here. I hope you are receiving more than the good you are putting out.
Thank you!
Absolutely awesome test. One of your very best (out of a library of videos which are ALL top notch!). Very cool results, too. I almost always go for high-end stuff -- and your tests prove that, generally, it's not a bad way to go. It's GREAT when it goes the other way. These days I'm VERY RELUCTANT to make a purchase without checking your library for insights. Thanks!
Thank you very much!
Every single time I decide to buy a tool or product, my very first thought is "I wonder if PF tested it." I know you never let people sponsor your videos, so I'm about to buy some merch because you deserve support for all this work you do.
Thanks!
lol, same here. He has saved me from some poor purchase choices in the past. I Wonder if there is a list/menu of the type items he has tested? Thank You PF.
So I'm not at all looking to get heated gloves since I never get cold. But videos like this show just way I watch everything you put out. Truly amazing that a pair of gloves costing around 100$ less than the competition win! And I don't know any other channels that do as good a job reviewing and testing. Especially not whilst staying unbiased! Great work as always!
Thanks!
It's really surprising how many of these there are out there. I ended up getting the full leather Savior Heat about a month ago and glad to see that they are one of the better brands, especially for finger heat which is what I primarily was looking for. Another great test/review!
Thank you!
@@ProjectFarm Great job as always. Any plans for drill hole saw sets for drilling in metal? Would love to see it.
Even though it doesn't feel like it gets too cold where I live during the winter compared to other places, it still gets quite cold. My hands are usually one of the first parts of my body to get cold, so recently I've been considering getting heated gloves. This video came out at just the right time!
Thanks for sharing!
Gets down to a balmy -40 and as low as -60 here. That's Celsius
Our hands are a primary heat dispersal point for us, which is why we see frostbite on hands almost as frequently as we see it on the nose and ears. My hands are usually pretty near the ambient temperature, which is a pretty major problem if it's freezing outside.
@@Deere2154D at those temps were pretty much the same hahaha
Depending what you're doing out in the cold, mittens pretty much always kick the crap out of gloves. Of course that's not helpful if you actually need to do stuff with your fingers. But if you're just spending time in the cold or shoveling or something where you don't need any more precision than "grab and hold", mitts are way better.
This is probably the most straight forward CZcams channel I've ever seen.
Thanks!
Just ordered Sabot heat. They’re 40 bucks right now on Amazon. Thanks for the review!
Wow! Glad the price dropped. I'll be really surprised if they don't raise the price quickly as they begin selling a lot of glove.

My fingers always get cold while skiing, and I was looking for heated gloves. Thanks so much for the objective and unbiased comparisons.
You are welcome!
Usually, you get what you pay for. That being said, I'm really surprised to see the SabotHeat perform so well, especially when compared to gloves that cost TWICE as much!
Thanks for sharing!
You put emphasis on the twice part by making it all caps but surely you meant thrice as much? Or 3 times as much ?
@@DracoOmnia No, I meant twice. To be honest, I didn't even consider the $150 gloves. There's no way I'd spend that much on gloves, no matter how warm they'd keep my hands.
Although from looking at them the Sabot Heat seem decently well made, a durability test may have produced different conclusions. In any case, when you take the cost of replacement batteries into account, the gloves themselves are closer to $20 in quality.
As an update, after reading someone else's comments having used an earlier model for a few years I got some and after having used them for a few days blowing snow, I'm impressed with their build quality. Despite the fact they seem to heat the outside of the hand and fingers more than the inside where you really need it more when handling cold metal handles, they are amazing for the money.
Fabulously interesting, unbiased and useful Project Farm content as always. Thanks for the hard work!
Im starting to shop for heated gear so i can ride my motorcycle into the winter more. Im glad i can look at good unbiased reviews

Thank you!
Those are "waiting for a bus" conditions too.
I don't know where you live but wouldn't call $50 for a pair of gloves "cheap", but the way the SabotHeat are made and with the 3 year warranty, they are definitely a great value. I wonder how long they will outlast the under $10 cheapos I used to buy that hardly last more than 3 months operating my snowblower.
I didn't know these were available. And to see the cheapest one kick butt was awesome. I'm going to buy them asap. Thanks PF for another great show. I love this channel.

I've had my Gerbing S2 gloves for over a decade. They have held up to frequent use with very little wear. They are the best gloves I've ever owned, electric or otherwise! I've bought a couple sets of batteries over the years, but have become a die-hard Gerbing's fanboy. They've seen me through the Rockies up to 13,000 feet, the East Coast, wet and dry weather, and on. They WORK! 🙂

Great review! I've been looking for a set of heated gloves for motorcycling and this test really proved which brands to buy, and which not.
Except that you need toughness as well and that wasn't tested. I've ordered the SabotHeat and will see how they manage handling the snowblower.

Thank you for this test. As heated gloves are one of those items where there are hundreds (at least) similar-looking no-name brands on Amazon, it's hard to tell what is what. I bought a pair a couple of years ago and now I'm back to a $20 pair of non-heated. Will definitely check out the Sabot and Hompress. Edit: Just checked and the Sabots are currently 20% off at $39.99 (1/22/2023).

Love the glove part of the testing. For the glove liners, should have tested them inside a non-heated glove. They are intended to be used inside gloves, so they aren't made to have much insulation or wind resistance.
i agree, should have used the exact same outer glove on all the liners as a control
I think it's important to show that they don't quite work without gloves, but would agree that additional testing is warranted.
excellent review. i would be curious about their durability as well, especially useful for shovelling. thanks for your work!

In the future, it may be worth considering doing a segment on durability for heated gloves. I bought an expensive pair once, and they didn't even last a week before I couldn't use them in snow anymore as they had large tears in multiple places. I have a feeling the SabotHeat wouldn't do that well in a durability test.
Thank you for the informative video!

@@ProjectFarm Yes, please test durability with these. That's why I got the Seirus HeatTouch Hellfire gloves to ski in along with being warm in the Fairbanks winter. I'm confident they'll last many winters and the batteries can be replaced if they wear out (Seirus is a major company and should offer the batteries for many years to come).
"durability for heated gloves" Durability of chinese gloves in general is poor. I had a pair of leather & down mittens from Switzerland that lasted 40 years. Chinese mittens (thin leather and chinese feathers) last me about a year of light use. I recently bought OR Coyote military mittens and multiple mitten and glove liners (made in USA) that allows the liners to be pulled out, swapped, dried. Compare with 1910-1912 Fram expedition: Roald Amundsen bought ordinary leather walking mittens from London shop and wore them to the South Pole and back. The only reason I noticed this is because I have Honey installed and it showed price changes over the last 120 days. It seems that these gloves hover around the $70 mark. The Hompress are now $50, but have been as high as $90. Now the Hompress seems a great bang for buck, whereas at the time of the videos production the SabotHeat was best bag for buck. It may be worth noting the dates of when the items were purchased or that prices are not always the same at the time of production versus release? Prices appear to fluctuate frequently on Amazon it seems.
Thanks for the feedback.
Looks like they are currently (as of 1/24/2023) unavailable at Amazon and the Sabot website has only medium sized gloves (and apparently no way to actually purchase them from the website).
I've noticed that happen with other "best reviewed" products, such as LED headlight bulbs. And as for price fluctuation... If you know anything about marketing, the purchase price of a product depends VERY LITTLE on the actual cost of materials and workmanship and ALWAYS follows offer and demand and what people are ready to pay for a product (whether it is justified by practical matters such as here or simply because of a name like is often the case with fashion)
Now the sabotheat msrp is $90 on their website and are indefinitely out of stock :( I would've bought a pair or two right now for $50
Yep there was a $10 coupon! I was in the market for heated gloves and great timing on the video, was able to pick up a pair. Few rounds of snowblowing this weekend in the midwest and the Sabot gloves performed great! At high 20s the 2nd from lowest heat setting was plenty, could of even done lowest.
Purchased the Zabot gloves because of this review and they are AWESOME!!! Had avoided buying heated gloves out of fear of disappointment and the cost. I got them on sale for $40!!
Thanks for sharing.
This review is so good, I was thinking about buying some expensive gloves but now I know what to buy, I will try them out thanks!
Thanks!
😮 having worked in freezing temperatures for 30 years me and my coworkers can say with 💯% certainty heat in the palm or back of hand is meaningless it’s only about the fingers nothing else matters thought everyone should know this GREAT VIDEO 👍
Thanks for sharing!
Just bought a pair of heated gloves for cold morning winter riding
Which brand did you buy? Thank you
I'm interested in the longevity of use. Like, what's the average lifespan of heated gloves with daily use and seasonal use. I know you won't have time to test that but hopefully someone with experience sees this comment and chimes in. Thanks again for a great video!
I would have liked to see that as well, the way he tested jeans not so long ago.
Top tier review.! I wish this had been available when I bought the Savior gloves last year. The Sabots were unavailable then.
My Savior gloves last a bit over 2 hours on high, like yours did.
I bought them because my motorcycles all have heated grips, but my fingertips would get cold on the highway with non heated gloves in the 40s, and in the 30s would get numb. Combining the heated grips and the gloves makes cold. hands a non issue all the way down to freezing where my riding stops out of fear of ice.
Thanks! Thanks for the feedback.
I love your videos. This video was especially great for us snowmobilers up in Canada. The women in our group are always cold, we would love to see a video on heated clothing (pants, jackets) that would work best fo snowmobiling. Keep up the great work, you really influence my purchases.
Thanks! Thanks for the feedback.
if the glove liners are indeed liners, wouldn't it make sense to test their heating ability inside of a glove? I'd also like to see a waterproofing test for heated gloves given that one might be using them in snowy or icy conditions.
another great video though, and a surprising result.
Thank you for the video idea!
Great to see a win for the cheapest gloves, just wondering if it'd be possible to have a follow up video with abrasion and puncture results. Unlikely we'd use heated gloves instead of work gloves, but the need might arise when the temperatures drop.
Thanks for the suggestion.
That's what those heated glove liners are for. Glove liners are meant to go *under* non-heated/temperature-ready gloves in order to provide extra protection, heat, oil/grease protection, etc.
@Project Farm I would also say cycle times as well. How many times they can be charged and ran before they start going bad. Cheap ones might only make a month of use and crap the bed and more expensive ones may last longer. Even say cycle them all a couple times a month and revisit next winter
@@Deere2154D Batteries are replacable, so even if the $50 gloves batteries go bad after a month, Id wager you could still replace them with better or even larger batteries and still have value. The bonus on these is the fact the batteries can be taken out, unlike many electronics.
@@Typh3621 I'm not talking battery, I'm thinking heating elements
My husband and I love your channel and watched many videos!
This one was super useful as I have Raynaud's and always cold hands. I bought the $50 gloves (a bit more in Canada but still most affordable). They work really well and am super happy with them. I use them multiple times per day in the winter.
You always say to email suggestions, electric socks please! I am hoping to get a pair before winter.
Thanks! Thanks for the suggestion.
This would have helped me a lot back in 2014/2015. One thing I will say is that a lot of heated gloves aren't very sturdy and if you work in a warehouse freezer, you might end up tearing your gloves relatively quick due to the nature of your work. I just hope they make the gloves a bit more tougher so people can really get their money's worth out of them outside of being heated.

Good idea heated WORK GLOVES 😤
I wonder if tough heated gloves even exist lol. Hard enough to find real durable normal gloves
I was sorta wondering about something like that with the glove liners. Putting out decoys in the snow you want both a warm AND dry glove. I wonder if a heated glove liner inside of a waterproof shell would be the way to go.
Hello thanks for the video. Can you do a video on the phone holder for the car?
Thank you for the video idea!
Thanks! I purchased the Hompres heated gloves (something I didn't even know existed) and used them today. My hands didn't get cold on the lowest heat while I was outside for almost 2 hours.
Thanks for sharing! Thanks for supporting the channel! I really appreciate it!
