fantastic ...that's how Bach should be played on the guitar. No ego on the part of the player just association with the music - the notes/harmony are speaking via his fingers. And so crisp, his inflection of the rhythms (characteristic of MB)! Original key too (why not?).
I was lucky enough to spend 2 weeks with Manuel when I was a teenager. A wonderful man and guitarist/musician.
Excellent composer, excellent Bach performer......
Very nice to see him fit, healty and alive. Long live master, greetings from İstanbul. ;)
agreed: Bach is a perfect composer. Manuel Barrueco is a worthy interpreter.
Manuel is a genius!
Absolutely. ..beautiful!
In addition to the overwhelming display of skill, etc... that guitar sounds freaking fantastic!
Maestro. Que sencillez y que humildad, brindar una entrevista y una muestra de su gran Talento en casa.
Why is there always an idiot who don't likes this? This is great. Bach is my favorite componist, and I'm a Rock drummer.
Stop caring about what others think. Then you will be free.
Great performance and great videography.
Musical perfection 100%
Man! You are awesome!
wow a great performance
Super !!
wow, in the original key!
In order to be the music you must be conscious of how the music is transformating itself all the time. Short term memory, really.
lindo!
excelent
"Bach is a perfect composer". Wow
Good Lord...
Just curious. What is the name of his guitars' luthier in this segment?
1972 Robert Ruck, Number 58.
It looks like he's using his Dammann guitar here...
@@davepazz580it is definitely the Ruck…
wich piece is he playing in the video
Fugue in g minor from Violin Sonata number 1, BWV 1001. It also exists in two other versions - BWV 1000 arranged in the eighteenth century for baroque lute by Johann Christian Weyrauch (Bach's pupil, a lawyer in Leipzig) and for organ in d minor, BWV 539.
t u, dude.
Ramirez guitar?
lorem ipsum Robert Ruck
You can learn all about this marvellous guitar by ordering this book from Tonar Music: www.tonarmusic.com/pages/misc/329/no.-58_manuel-barrueco-robert-ruck-and-a-guitar
It's a Matthias Dammann guitar...
Is it just the camera angle, or are his strings abnormally offset from the neck? I've played a few guitars with a big gap between strings and neck before and found it very uncomfortable over longer periods.
Yes of course it's unconfortable, but it's true that the more offset from the neck the more loud the guitar sounds.
