I Nearly Die Building this Insane Bike Jump...

- In this video I build one of the largest features I have ever built for mountain biking, a huge wooden jump. You can see it at Howler Bike Park. This jump ended up being in total length around 50 feet long! It's definitely the craziest thing I've built in my trail building career and a ton of fun.

Hi I am wonder what is the music at 2:15. ASLO I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS
Love the vids! Are more coming soon??
Man sometimes I forget you Chanel exists, but such great content
đđ such a backhanded complement

He needs to post more
@@ryanc9432 he spends day just cutting wood then making and editing it the stuff he does would take me months, so his upload schedule is quite good considering all he has to do to make one video.
Awesome wood skills yet again. Your builds are so professional, I can see you having your own trail feature construction company in the future.
I love watching your builds, even if they're things I wouldn't ever attempt. When I was your age, yes, but at less than a month from turning 55 I will stick to riding tech and exposure for my thrills. I am a wheels on the ground kinda rider nowadays
hahaha Im normally a wheels on the ground guy myself. No shame there. Thanks for the compliments, John!
Another wheels on the ground rider! I love watching the kids send things, but 54 is only a week away for me, and I know my limits.
@@zimmejoc True, like myself I am sure you felt invincible when you were younger.
My motto is the Dirty Harry saying, "A man's got to know his limitations"....I know mine
@@johnnydoe66 I sure did feel invincibleâŠthen I turned 30 and the truth set in. đ€Ł
56 - tell me I am not the oldest weirdo here. Not collecting frequent flyer points on my bike anymore
Wow, what a masterpiece!! You're getting better and better.
Thanks a lot dude! Im tryin over here! haha
Holy hell, man. This was some true craftsmanship, well done by everyone. Gotta also mention the music and editing was top notch. Killer video as always
Thanks, Aaron! Oh yea! I found a new music website and got some pretty good ones on here!
@@BackyardTrailBuilds what is the new music website called?
@@gavanbarrett7138 I think itâs called Artlist.io
Man, I sometimes forget this Chanel exist, but great content
This channel is one of the channels where I just like before I watch finish the video and then go to like again but see I already I have!
Yooo, so glad you're back with a new video!
Me too! haha Its been a good while.
@@BackyardTrailBuilds its a good one too! It's impressive what you're doing at howler rn.
@@BackyardTrailBuilds how has it been going? I know these builds take a lot of time and all, but it would be really cool to hear about some progress from time to time here on CZcams. I feel like viewership tends to go down not because of lack of quality (the content is amazing) but because a lot of people just forget about it completely. It's really sad, but I feel like the viewership is way lower than what it should be for the quality of content you are putting out.
Take your time though, don't overwork yourself and get burnt out, it isn't fun whatsoever.
Seth, the amount that you are contributing and helping the explosion of MTB in Missouri, and the WORLD! Your awesome man đ€đ€
Youre right there with me buddy! Thanks though!
Man sometimes I forget I exist, but always remember you channel, underrated content. Shouts out Mark Lambert
Absolutely stunning jump đ±đ€đ„ Good work man! đ
Thanks man! I tried!
As a carpenter and mountain bike enthusiast,
I approve.
Absolutely amazing craftsmanship:)
mad respect for using so many hand tools
The wood working is so satisfying to watch.
Far out dude! Dont let anyone critisize you over this, the craftsmanship and thought behind this is super super impressive!
In 1983, my friends and I built a large quarter pipe up the front of one those friend's house using the wood from three large trestle tables and other donations. We were BMXers and would look into that friend's bedroom on the turn. It felt really high but was probably only about 15 feet up.
I thought that was an ambitious build but - MAN - your build is incredible.
Now in my 50's I content myself with wheelies on my hardtail (why can no-one else my age pull a wheelie?) because I'm way too breakable to consider flight these days but I watch you guys with sheer wonder in my heart.
You just gotta get some nice easy dirt tables to regain confidence, Nigel! I ride with dudes double my age that have just started jumping and theyâve gained a lot of confidence from some nice easy tables. Probably like 25 ft long but nice and mellow. Itâs all about confidence!
Honestly if this video doesn't get over a million views I would be very surprised đ(great content !!!!)
Let's keep our fingers crossed.
Terribly satisfying.
Idk why but I can just feel the outdoors while watching this, even though itâs a dreary winter day.
Kudos to this dude for knowing his physical limits. That's pretty much the most important skill to avoid accidents
Nah bro, SEND IT!
This video was definitely one of the best ones yet
This is one of the most amazing features I've ever seen
Thanks man!
I literally just checked if you posted something recently yesterday and I saw it was over a month ago, itâs good to see this video!

YO! Thank you! I really appreciate that.
@@BackyardTrailBuilds yeah you're really great with the music / sound side of video making as well đ. Most other mtb channels kinda struggle with that
Honestly enjoyed every minute of this
Wow. Absolutely gorgeous build.
100% perfect. Feature, handcraft, output. Love it!!
I live in Branson so I can't tell you how stoked I am. I'm glad someone as qualified as yourself is working on this stuff to keep me shredding. Next spring couldn't come sooner. Also, your carpentry skills can't overshadow your video production skills. I'm thoroughly impressed with it all đ€
Unbelievably. And huge!! Well done Seth

Awesome video! Such an amazing feature.
True Craftsmanship!!! đđœ This feature is beautiful, you should be really proud with how it came out
Damn that looks huge and fun
Damn Dude, that's so freakin awesome, well done. So sweet to see you sticking to as many non power tools as you can and using some good joinery. Love that Cedar you have so much of, so beautiful and doesn't look to be too much of a challenge to work with, at least when green. Curious if you've ever had any issue with stuff you've built using the green Cedar that then dried out and maybe shrunk a bit too much?
I was actually looking over some of my older stuff just recently wondering the same! So far so good though! Cedar doesnt have much shrinking occur luckily so I dont see it ever being too much of a problem.
Absolutely amazing đ» that cedar looks beautiful đ»
Your wooden features are second to none! Literally never seen huge quality built features like this before, let alone well edited videos showing off your build process. Sick dude
