Atlanta Motorsports Park Lo206 Senior Final: Round 6 2020 | Big Crash at the end đ±

- We made the trip down to Atlanta Motorsports Park for round 6 of the 2020 summer kart championship series. Didn't do to bad considering it was my first time at the track, and didn't get many laps in practice and qualifying. Started just outside the top 10 after a solid pre-final. Unfortunately I got squeezed off track and subsequently t-boned, ending my day. If interested in knowing how to help me and my race team be able to run more races like this, leave a comment below or email me at @Jopracing47@Gmail.com

RIP kart #23âŠ. My mans flew off the screen never to be seen again.
Puts left rear on grass, spins alone and then complains about reckless driving as if it wasnât your fault. XD
After reviewing the video I realized the driver in front wasn't as much at fault as I thought so. In the moment your obviously very heated. But, nevertheless, he did move over into me which forced me onto the grass. Probably shouldv'e backed out of it in hindsight.
@@jakephillipsracing yup. Itâs always best to have a look at the footage first.
@@jakephillipsracing Kart in front was on the racing line and you were not at least a 1/2 kart along side them going into the corner. It wasnt yours. Easy lift then cross over and try to get a better exit than them.
@@spencergiles72 Yep, your right. Should've just backed outta the move and done the crossover on exit. I've fortunately leearned a lot since this race took place. Hoping to have some more content in the coming weeks!
@@jakephillipsracing Awesome! It's all part of the process. I am new to karting and every day I learn that there is more I don't know! Also, going back and reviewing video isnt fair for commenters to call you out sometimes because in the heat of the moment, you can think it happened a different way than the video shows. Cheers!
You were doing fairly well till then man....kudos for putting up the video, even though you knew it was not any one else's fault....wishing you luck for the next time/s
Great vid!
Go-Karts Are Fun And Exciting Also I Wish I Would Be Outside Racing With Them.
As you drive on to the kerb , differnt grip of two side . At this time you apply the brakes, putting all the weight on the front wheels .This situation is very easy to spin .
Race Starts @5:53
Looked like you were blocking the inside pretty hard. Overall good video. Iâll subscribe, hopefully you post more.
Appreciate it. Have learned a lot since when this race took place. Unfortunately school/work has put off some of my race plans. Hoping to have some more content in the coming weeks!
I race at AMP too and it is fun. I was driving my KA100 and I did the same thing except it was my corner and the guy spun me out and pushed me off.
I love how most of the comments on a video about kart racing is just a guy named Jesus lmao. nice race man! Iâll be starting karting this season to hopefully all goes well.
Thankyou! Came back last spring and did a whole lot better! Unfortunately Gopro didn't cooperateđ€Šââïž Hope all goes well with your racing endeavors!
Been a hot minute since I've watched a video in 4:3 :P
Awesome video!
Appreciate it! New Content is comingđ Just using old footage from a few years back until I can get the proper equipment to record and capture videos of new races!
Nice dd2
Why they are so slow? Is that slow Mo? What camera do you use?
It's the engine. The Lo206 engine is a low horsepower 4 stroke engine that struggles at big elevation change circuits such as AMP. And was using a GoPro Silver 7. But now have a Gopro hero 12 to use for future videos.
What type of kart do you have?
I own a DR Tork IVS. A great kart for Lo206 Racing!
Check out the prefinal race here! czcams.com/video/fF26Imj4o5A/video.html
cant hang in rotax lmao
wow these LO's make the amp kart school LO's look like snails lol why?
Most likely because they are lighter, have softer tires, and the engines most likely produce more horsepower. I've never driven one of their rentals, but I'm sure they restrict the power for safety.
@@jakephillipsracing they donât Ivan is just slow
@@bear1143 haha xD dude, I just had a practice session today at AMP in preparation of tomorrow's 6hr endurance karting and I felt slow because all I could think about is why these karts didn't have a seat belt lmao. Just didn't inspire confidence in my first practice round. I did improve in my 2nd but couldn't get over the lack of seatbelt... Super fun track though.
@@Director-Mthe lack of seatbelt is counterintuitive in a go kart but ends up being safer overall, because if your kart rolls over, you can much more easily move out of the way so that your neck doesnât support the weight of the kart
Why aren't you trying to pass anyone?
Gearing was wrong. Struggled with the setup. First time at track too. This race is from 2020. Will be posting new content in the coming weeks from this year. Racing Ka 100 in STARS đ
@Jake Phillips Racing super cool. Yeah it really looked like often the engine was bogging down, not optimizing revs. I am starting my 2nd year racing, just trying to make observations and learn.
