- Hey guys! I finally pulled the trigger and installed a JLT Cold Air Intake on my Charger! I went with the JLT brand because of the reviews, good feedback and company reputation. The growl with this intake on WOT is insane! She's a monster!

Use the stock airbox but remove the silencer and get the lower hellcat airbox
Better fit than the k&n kit. Took my 2 hrs installing on my challenger rt. I've installed dozens of these intakes over my life. I don't think any of them are perfect for the hemi engines

Do you think the extension piece is really necessary?
I got a k&n for $60 on marketplace. Does the same shit, it's mainly for visuals and sound

I want to get it but for 300 bucks I want to know it's actually making a difference I don't really care about more performance, mostly MPG.
Cold air intakes usually only give around an extra 10 horsepower give or take. But nothing significant
1-1.5mpgs gain on avg
@agenttxgaming4409 if all you care about is gaining MPG then don’t buy a performance cold air intake just buy the K&N drop in air filter for your stock air intake that came with your car that’ll improve your MPG cause the K&N allows for better air flow into your engine thus allowing the fuel to burn more efficiently then improving your MPG.

Update: I did. It definitely sounds and feels like it's running smoother, and the sound is cleaner too

I've been thinking about getting a JLT for my charger, right now I have the Corsa, I kinda want to see if there's a difference in power between the two and wanted to try something different.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, I have a corsa cai, it works great for me, although I was considering purchasing a jlt, cause in my opinion I think the corsa intakes are better
@@300Grizzly_Srt I agree, I've had the jlt didn't like it, had heat soak at red lights, I put the corsa back in and felt more power and car IAT stayed cool
gonna put one on my 5.7 what’s a good one tune to accompany it (i’m also putting a flow master exhaust)

no but it does help you maximize the power that goes for most any mod

Is it worth it thinking about getting it
The only thing I would say is definitely get a tune! I am in severe need to get this thing breathing right. With the aftermarket exhaust and new intake, I probably won't see any difference until I really tune the thing to get it running right and truly get what I can from it. Everything else about the part is still quality.
