    This is the old radio that my friend asked me to restore, it is a grandfather's memento from the Vietnam war, it doesn't work, the battery tray cover has been replaced by another radio. making it mismatched and ugly, I was determined to restore another battery tray, the frame was broken, I used two-component glue to glue it and restore it, the electrical connection system was broken and I broke off. again, the frame of the machine was so rusted that I removed it and sprayed sand and repainted it, it was amazing it looked like new, the radio tuner I had also repaired. Finally after more than a week of work, I brought the radio back to life. after 2 previous videos i have restored the old radio, i hope you will like this radio project this time.
    I don't add music to these videos so that you can choose to listen to what you like if you would like to.

    I have to say we have a different idea when it comes to restoration as I concentrate on the electronics. Putting that aside you transformed junk in to a beautiful useful radio so 12 out of 10 for effort. Great work thanks for sharing.

    Wow you really did a great job here! I love these old Panasonic radios! They hardly ever have anything wrong with them. If they do it's usually a bad cap or two or the controls need a good cleaning.

    What liquid was that you put the electronic board in to clean that does not destroy it?

    • @cyruscuckler3495
      @cyruscuckler3495 Před 4 lety +1

      This is a common misconception, as very few liquids(unless they are Corrosive) will actually destroy a board. You can put motherboards in dishwashers, even with dish cleaner and not hurt the board. In most cases it helps tremendously and some dish cleaners have anti Corrosive properties so it can really make the old boards shine and work like new!

    Radio has two very obviously exploded capacitors, which can be seen throughout the video. At 24:29, you can see one in the top right of the PCB and the other in the lower middle above the screw tab. All of the capacitors should have been replaced regardless.

    • @MrHBSoftware
      @MrHBSoftware Před 4 lety

      definetely looks like they vented...each of the germanium transistors is worth more than the radio so it would be a good idea to replace the caps...if they open who cares but if they short it might blow up a transistor
