The movie that saved Hollywood is now being used to save the Oscars, I love it! and this piece was so ridiculously hilarious and well put together that I will make it a point to watch the Oscars and see what happens.

@@tomaszbejnarowicz Because of the anticipation for a movie that was 30+ years in the making , the production value shown in the trailers, the REAL visual and special effects, created a willingness of the audience of all ages to reenganche in the movie going experience and venture back to cinemas in masses. We all all rediscover how much fun it is to watch a blockbuster movie in theaters and with a full house. Not to mention the connection it created between the parents who were kids when the original Top Gun came out in 86 and their kids who got blown away with TGM.

This year they’re limiting speeches to 45 seconds, that includes walking to the stage. People watch to see their favorites have their moment. Lose the jokes and monologue and get straight to the awards. The Oscars probably really don’t even need a host. The 2021 ones I believe didn’t have a host and it was fine.
Love it. The Mel Brooks bonk into the camera at the end was great fun.

A great intro… so excited to see Jimmy hit the danger zone. I almost thought Matt Damon would of walked in behind my go to Billy Marvelous Crystal and then he would get kicked out by him.
I am still for a romantic dance / sing number for the opening. Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. All together singing and dancing like Monty Python. Pretending that they will always love each other. Forever.

This was BRILLIANT!!! Great job Kimmel. Also, I hope Hollywood does the right thing and name "TOP GUN: MAVERICK" Movie of the Year. I know they don’t take action movie's seriously, but this one was Different. It literally made GROWN MEN CRY!!! Hollywood, it’s Time - do the right thing and name TGM - Best Picture of the Year!!! Let's be honest. Kimmel's 2017 Oscar's was the best monologue after Crystal's 1993 performance. Billy, Jimmy and Steve hold the top three hosting performances in my opinion, followed by Rock, Astaire and Letterman.
