Whenever a small cloud appears inside me to question if the treasures of my youth were worth really that much as I thought then, I come across some talented musician(s( who turns out to have grown up on the same treasures.

Most power metal melodies are inspired on western european folk music, hence the acoustic versions sound somehow familiar.
Play Johann Sebastian Bach electric, it's Heavy Metal! Metal was born out of classic...
Let's say this was already amore than an average power metal song, but these guys' arrangement makes it really a classic masterpiece.
Similar roots. Playing death metal riffs (especially by the band Death) without distortion or acoustic sounds like classical. Change the tempo slightly and you've got some amazing mid-1900s jazz. The chord progressions and particular scales use are common among technical music of all kinds and all ages.

That's actually how metal was played 100 years ago, before les paul invented multitrack recording. Check out Niccolo Paganini's music.
I have imagined how we will do our metal after the apocalypse... We still need more amplification but this does make me sleep easier at night to know we will be ok!
