I always disliked Janine. This episode was my favorite, seeing her get what she deserved.

Terry took her in after her dad left, helped her any way he could.She repaid him by stealing from him,sabotaging his relative nebula and messing with his head. Everything had that happened to her she brought entirely on herself
I must say that janine is the best actress than all the females in eastenders!

Forgot all about Janine and Terry, even though she was not the ideal partner , she did love him as he showed her stability and then in that scenario him making up subconsciously with his relationship with his Daughter Tiff .
He was really trying to change his ways and do right by janine because he hadn't done right by tiffany. But of shed loved him she wouldn't have stolen from him, brought drugs into his home, played mind games etc
She had a twisted way of showing it. Stealing money from him, bringing drugs into his house, trying to impersonate his dead daughter and sabotaging his relationships.
I have met a fair few "janines " in my time.
They think their life circumstances give them some devine right to use and abuse people and they think those people wil put up with it indefinitly .
But when those people eventually snap and decide is enough is enough they play the victim.

He went to reconcile with her as she'd written to him [my memory is hazy] but what happened after he left I don't think was ever revealed as they'd no family/connections left on the square.
@@shanefolanwhilst it’s impossible in a way due to the pace soaps move and the way it can detract, that’s always been one of my pet peeves with these shows that these characters spend so much time together in the community and form bonds, yet we never hear any mention of them once they leave. Surely in this day and age they’d mention them from social media or reminisce about them. Closest we’ve probably ever got was Ian arranging to meet Kelvin on Facebook off screen.
@@gazzyb1079 yea true it's like the slaters and Fowlers were so tight knit back in the day yet Michelle was pretty much erased from memory after she left in 1995 and never came back to visit or for her mums funeral etc. Likewise little mo, Zoey and Lynne seem to also be have totally forgotten about and Kat or mo rarely, if ever, mention them. Another offender would be grant Mitchell who appeared once back in walford in the last 15 years for his mum's funeral when he's only living in Spain and Phil never mentions him or Sam and I recall him only going to visit Grant once around 2011ish. Surely as him and Grant were so close/tight knit they'd have more connection in reality and Phil be popping over. At least when he was in Brazil his lengthy absences would be more believable as it was so far away. Weird too how mick and Lynne's two sons are both still in England yet both have been forgotten and Lee visited like twice in 5 years which seems again very unrealistic or Linda's mum lives in Watford which is less than an hour from east London and hasn't appeared in years either. And as you say it's the fact that they are rarely mentioned too once they leave.
@@shanefolan agree totally, I had a lot of sympathy for Pauline in her later years despite being an argumentative old sort, I understood her pain. I’ve just started watching parts of 2002 again, which is why I was drawn to Terry’s exit video. Watching him depart I find it odd that no one ever hears from him again, not even Janine years later, I doubt she would have looked herself. I thought Peggy or Jim would have heard something in particular, very much the same with Natalie Evans after being so close to Pat as she was in this era.

Peggy had the connection when she was married to irene as they hung out as couples but after irene and Frank left Terry and peggy had no more connection. It was weird how vicky neither returned for den or denniss funeral and weird how angie never once came to visit sharon after she left in 88. I know Dobson openly refused all offers to return but in terms of realism eastenders is always dreadful in that regard of people leaving and never returning. Angie would definitely have returned to support sharon in 1989 when den was "killed".

Isn't it amazing how so many Women's Relationship with their Fathers affect them as adults. Jill Foster Abbott (The Young & The Restless) whose Husbands were always "Older". Phillip Chancellor, Stuart Brooks and John Abbott (Whom She Married 3 Times). Same with Brooke Logan (The Bold & The Beautiful). Her Father Stephen leaves, she marries Eric who is about 20 years her senior and on her wedding day it was Ridge whom everyone thought was his son but he wasn't. In her own way she reminds me of Kelly Windsor on Emmerdale. Her Father gets killed on Xmas Day and I think it affected her as well with her dating Rodney Blackstock and Rodney King.
