This is my favorite song of all time. I suffer from treatment-resitant major depression, and this is the ONLY sound that can break through my prison. Seeing all the people enjoying it makes me smile, which is a rare thing for me.
It put a big smile on my face, keep focusing on that moment, I will...
Viva a vida.
we also enjoy when you smile dear, keep it up :)
Keep smiling, life is all about positive vibes, we all need it.
Blessings to you ❤
I'm 57 years old Korean. this song was very popular in korea in 80's n i like very much still now.
thanks to all people who live in down under!
long live men at work!
Same age from Italy, this song was funny and made me want to go abroad:)
South Korea? Do you still live there? I have so many questions!✌️

cheers mate, this song will be timeless popular even in 180 years. Don't tell anyone else the secret, this is the original Australian anthem
"Ladies and Gentlemen, please stand for the Australian National Anthem"
Also kangaroo...thats it..
Allways do here in Europe ;-)
I’m mean, really it is.
You kidding😂
Lovely peoples ❤
This is the coolest national anthem in the world!
It's not the Australian anthem. But it totally should be!!!
@@jypr2864 Aussies are under-presented in international matches, that's why nobody knows it abroad
Indeed😎🇧🇳

@@jypr2864 I was kidding. lol I grew up listening to this song. 🙂🇭🇲🐨🦘
As an Aussie I love that so many people around the world still embrace this song.. It really is as much of an Aussie icon as Mick Dundee, Steve Irwin and vegemite sandwiches 😂
Yep, we love him 💕

Men at work have some great songs, I still play their hits. They’re timeless and so good 80s music
It must be so incredible to write a song so beloved by everyone in the entire world. So cool
@@markjapan4062 I got that, lol

I’m very very proud to be an Aussie. This is definitely a national icon 🇦🇺🦘
this song gives me that impression what it means to be an Aussie ...

Don:t be proud of being an Aussie, that is pure coincidence. Be proud of Colin Hay and Men at Work and their fucking good music. 😍
I'm an "American", born and raised....this song has been one of my favorites for decades!
Lot of people in 50s and 60s vibing to it and remembering their school days 😍😍🩷🩷
Colin Hay was born & raised in Scotland until he was 14 when he & his family moved to Australia. He has had a hugely successful life in Australia & is very grateful to Australia & the opportunities it gave him. He still though, retains his Scots accent. 💙 Braw lad!
Ça ressemble à l'histoire d'A.C.D.C.
To my ears, his accent sounds like a mix of one of the Australian dialects and Lowland Scots. For the longest time, and before I learned he was born in Scotland and emigrated to Australia when he was 14, I always had trouble placing his accent, wondering if it was an Australian dialect I'd never heard before.
I am Indian and always felt some scot is singing. Today I got the confirmation.
As an Aussie I believe this song should be our national anthem 🫡🫡🫡
I’m not even Australian and I agree.
No matter how many times I watch this video, it still gets me…
I love this song so much thank u man at work

The audience literally immediately taken all the back to the 80's... Euphoria insane ❤ it. ❤❤❤❤

As an African coming from a land up above.....I FULLY endorse this beautiful song ❤️
Wow, it's almost like his voice is still in the 80s, what an absolute performance! Especially for the flute player💚
When I was a young kid, more often I would hear songs before seeing what the singers look like.. anyway, I thought Colin was a black dude with his vocal colour haha.
He has such a unique voice.
the flute player was awesome...
Yessss,, she is good ,, very good,,,,,,& very lovely …❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m a Canadian who went to the land of aus in 1981 and this song was on the top of the charts and I loved it. The ultimate Aussie song. All these decades later I still love it and I love the Aussie spirit and Australia. Great memories of my youth in the land down under. 🇨🇦
That dude’s range is from another world! He can still those notes! 🔥🔥🔥
Thats actually what strikes me but it always seems to get the least attention.
I went to sing this in a covers band and found myself going WTF. Vocal is amazing and the record is so good you don’t realise. I thought I was just in the wrong key, wrong octave or had gone tone deaf 🤦♂️
My favorite song in the 80's
De un uruguayo que vive en chile escuchando estos australianos con esa hermosa canción que nunca dejará de ser escuchada...saludos
absolutely killed that flute part and man his voice hasn't changed one bit, still amazing live lol
What an honour to play with Colin Hay! Quick story: When I was in grade 8 in 1981, I remember going to the local record store and buying the Men At Work album "Business As Usual" On the city bus going home, I read that album cover over and over... man this song takes me back!
Great job with the flute at the beginning and throughout!
You must be missing those good old wonderful days.
@@DamianBill More than you know... *sigh*
I noticed that most of the audience seems to be under the age of 50. I think it’s great that there is a younger generation that appreciates this music. I had the good fortune of growing up in the 1970’s and 1980’s. What great times those were.
I am 29 Years old and this song is one of my favourite songs.I love this song
To be fair I am 45 and this song would have been played a lot but then I am a Kiwi and the audience are probably Americans.
i'm 26 and this song give me a nostalgic feelling that i never had before

I had the fortune to listen to Colin Hay and “Down Under” in Medellin, Colombia in concert. I will never forget it.
Great flute performance Gina. It was just as good as the original. Men at work fan from Down Under.❤
I agree
Excellent flute solo rendition. Simply awesome! Love the rift in between.
Thank you so much!
Pity they had to change it over nothing :(
sounds awesome anyway but she plays a little different notes I think
Great flute playing
@@tageast148 Indeed. I hear this song often when playing a Men At Work greatest hits CD. (a housekeeping ritual)
Yes, the Lady totally nailed the flute bits! Closer to the original track than some may realize, too.
This live version got a deeper baseline that resonates well with the crowd cheers. The lady on the flute is PERFECT.
Never gets old. Love you Men at Work!!

I'm impressed with how after all these years he still hits those high notes perfectly. This is not an easy song to play live! 😮👏🏻

Men At Work was such a breath of fresh air back in the 1980's, and along with Crocodile Dundee, were awesome ambassadors from Australia to the world...Their debut album was an instant classic!
As a Turkish man, İ love this song. Greetings from Gallipoli!
Such an important song in both Australian and Music History. Incredibly enough, many of the younger adults in the crowd weren’t even born when this was a major Hit!! Love this Song!!
That flute killed, under appreciated instrument.

Nothing beats sitting at the airport with a ticket to Australia listening ro this song!!
Even with the change in flute part (due to probably the worst/stupidest copyright lawsuit in history) the song still sounds great. Nice job!
Thank you so much! The copyright does seem pretty silly to me too...
@@GinaLuciani I think you absolutely nailed it. You got such a beautiful, silky smooth tone out of that flute. My brain somehow filled in notes that you didn't play, and pieced together the original solo the first time through. Once I listened again, I was impressed with how seamlessly you blend the "new" solo with the feeling of the original. You're blessed with talent, and with the opportunity to have played with Colin. Beautiful soul is his.
@@GinaLuciani u absolutely nailed it, don't pay much attention to the haters!!!
Great flute.
