I really just came back to this to watch it for nostalgia. Never stop skateboarding guys, your Ollies will come 🤘🏾
That ollie is beautiful, majestic, so fluid... FUUUCKING JEALOUSS
If there was only one person in the entire universe who I would want to teach me how to ollie, it would be him.
His ollies are so steezy
this helped way more than braille
You said it my man
Just to put this in perspective for people learning this trick. I have been skating for about 5 months now and I only just Ollied a curb, some of that has to do with me being a slow learner and some of that has to do with me being a chicken.
+ThatKidFromThatShow It's a mental thing, it's because you are a chicken, just do it man
Dub Sidia I'm two years in now, I can Ollie over 3 stairs and up curbs. I'm not where I want to be at two years in, but there is definite progression from when I first wrote this comment.
ThatKidFromThatShow
good job man, but 5 months in and up a curb isnt too bad
hey u still skate?
@@estherwagenaar8721 I don't anymore, still get on it every now and then but I've lost a lot of my skills I built up over time.
I can snowboard on double diamond runs, grind rails and boxes, and I can do tricks like backflips and 720s... And I still can't do an Ollie on a skateboard xD
+Joeycfilmsgames (Old Channel) I can lazer flip late shoveit treflip darkslide down a 50 stair handrail.... but i cant ollie xD
+Dub Sidia fr
Joeycfilmsgames Where’s the footage
i have watched so many videos on how to ollie and this has been the most helpful.
thank you so much your vid was so helpful
When you say "you know ;)" I actually don't know lol
The last clip blew me away
I learned how to first Ollie on grass. Ollie on grass prevents injuries and helps build your Ollie technique. Just put your board on the grass and try to Ollie stationary. Many make the mistake of first learning to Ollie while moving and on cement. I can Ollie up table benches now. My technique is exactly like aldrins. I do a slow moving Ollie and pop shove forward technique to get over things.
Nice video man, thanks
i learned how to ollie while moving on my first try.
@Ashton Carver 😱
@Ashton Carver Xd
Was at his peak 7 years ago.
i tried to slide my foot but it just wouldnt slide
As soon as I saw his Ollie...I subscribed... Helluva jump, bro. I'm trying pretty hard to learn. I guess it's all about effort, right? I hate to sound cheezy, but it's the perseverance that makes you learn. Keep it up, broski's.
i'm 17..and since I was never any good at skating and wanting to start again these trick a day videos are awesome. haha
I watched this a year ago still can't do it
Are u fat?
Nope
It took Chris Chann the #1 street skater in L.A, a year to learn to ollie
Okay....
Charles Spencer Man are you trying to write an essay on ollies geez.
3:35 that actually scared me
Well done. Keep skatin'!
Hey, thanks this really helped!
crap i still can't do it. iv'e seen so many vids. iv'e watched Braille, Andy, a ton. iv'e studied so many
stop studying and practice :P
stop studying and practice :P
ok thanks :D
Ha ha xD I know how you feel. I still can't do it Lol
***** yeah i might get one cuz of my friend Noah :D
Its bin a month and i can even get close to a ollie
had the same problem, remove your trucks from your deck and get used to popping the deck. Once you're able to Ollie with the deck, put your trucks back on and try to Ollie on a soft dense surface, like grass or some carpet I used these tips now I'm able to pop Ollies easy
derp derpington I practice in grass without taking off my trucks
It took me six months to master the ollie. It is a very time consuming trick and takes a lot of practice
It takes WAY more than a month you learn it if 4 months!
dude its been 2 years and i still cant ollie
thanks m8 helped a lot!
holy shit! That was pretty cool. Thanks for the upload.
I'm 13 and still suck at ollie..
+Panecake RAZER When did you start?
2 weeks ago I tried to ollie as high as I could and landed primo...
What people dont say much all they say is sliding the foot farther will get it higher but just lift that back knee up suck that back knee up cus your front foot is good cus its already sliding up just bend that back knee
Why don't you show your face
Rodolfo José My bard has like... no pop
+lollipopplays27 look whos talking bud!!
Oooof
thank you this really helped
My board always comes out from behind me. Also what part of my foot should I be using to slide up.
Any help would be extremely appreciated. Thanks!
I can't slide my foot because my shoes have to much grip
sand your board down if you have way grippy shoes it works for me
Jonathan Visagie i had the same problem thx
Are you high ?
So I'm having problems with ollie-ing. I got so used to doing shuvits that everytime I pop the board with my back foot, I twist it a little and the board twists. And when I do pop it right, I try to slide my foot up but my foot is like 4 inches above the board when I do. So it's hard for me to do a ollie, any help?
Thanx dude I'll def try it out
This video helped me relearn the ollie in one day
thank you dude this is my second day of ridding my skateboard and i did a little ollie THANKSSS!
hey bro thanks after i watched this video i started to ollie then learned other tricks like kickflip and hardflip
These vidoes are actually really good to watch even if you can already ollie
awesome!! thanks
Do u need skate shoes or can I use normal shoes
thanks helped me alot
all i can rly say is that you have to lean forward in the air to a point where you feel comfortable then landing. also, you have to transfer you weight backward very quickly to launch; and as soon as you launch, you push your foot from the back-middle of the board to the 4 skrews at the front of the board. Hope it helps! ALSO the MOST important thing to remember is that it takes a lot of time and effort to manage to do this so keep on trying! :)
Thanks this video is great! I seriously just started sayin like 2 days ago an I always had my foot really close to the nose when I tried to Ollie, now I know why I can't get my back wheels off the ground, really helped!!! :D
Thanks this helped me a lot
I have pretty decent Ollie's but both my arms go behind me instead of going up , if you guys know what I mean. How can I fix this? Thanks
whats the difference between normal converse and skate shoes? does it improve the trick and does the shoes get WRECKED?
YES! THANK YOU!
i been skating over 2 weeks already and i can sometimes land an ollie but when i wanna ollie over some stairs i panic and for some reason i cant ollie gets me really angry ... any suggestions ?
hey thanks! ill definitely try that
How do you slide your foot up the skate board when your show or the griptape is too grippy???????
Please help
Hey guys so I need your help, I've been skating for about one month now and I haven't landed an ollie down. I try to ollie on a flat area (my sidewalk) and I'm trying to do the ollie in one spot (not moving) but whenever I go for the ollie I just slip and fall. Does this have to do anything with my wheels? I would try to do an ollie as I skate but I'm too much of a whimp if I can't even land one by not even moving. Please help and if this help I ride a size 8 deck with Thunder 145s and Spitfires size 52 (pretty sure they're hard wheels).
Dont worry man, a month isnt long at all for an ollie, ive been practicing forever and i can ollie sometimes. Youll eventually get it. just practice practice practice
Thank u so much im getting the pop but like 2 out of 3 of the times i lan it so still working on it

Best. Tutorial. Ever.
New subscriber!!
I'e been skating on and off for years but I've never progressed to tricks and this is me currently right now x.x
Do you pop and slide your front foot up in one motion? Or do you pop first, then slide?
You pop then wait half a second then slide.
does it matter what type of board you have? because i have a crappy walmart skateboard and it is almost impossible to pop, and i have tried so much to try and get it to pop
Nice this dudes cooool
ARRGGHH!! They make it look so friggin' easy!!!
I still can't do one, but this video inspired me to keep trying. :)
I have a question.
Do you need to lift your feet up or slide it out?
I rlly struggling to do an ollie on gravel cause im rlly scared the board will move and I break a bone cuz I recently broke my hand and I dont want ro break it again can some1 help me.

Are you srs ? the material of my shoes grip too much too, and it makes my foot 'jump' on the shape when i try to slide mey feet
Should you be kicking the front foot up or out?
Thankssss
Ride channel! What's the song made for the intro-segment? I can't shazam it :\
is it normal for my foot placement to change when i do Ollie`s to manuals ??? think this is why i am messing up when i try to grind?board slide cos my feet are not on my deck so when i come down my hole body weight is slamming down i ahve already snapped 2 decks lol any 1 gt any tips ???
Du u hav 2 slyde ur frunt foot up or can i use my bak foot ?
does you foot leave the back of the board. ive read how to and it says that you need to jump when you pop. ive tried it but it always ends up with only one foot on th board
please help i still dont get the part ...... must you pop , jump then slide or pop , slide then jump ....... please help thanx
@Chris Estes Try pushing your front foot down as you reach the peak of your ollie. Exagerate it at first, pushing down quite hard. You will notice your front foot will stick but not your back foot. After you have the feel of pushing down, do it again but lightly. This helped me alot.
is it normal to put holes in your shoes from doing ollies or am i doing it wrong?
Does your tail touch the ground??
LIKE A BOSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm good at ollie's but how do you get better at tweaking it out.
i can never land them moving.. my board goes abit infront of me. Do i need to lean forward?

can anyone help i can do a nollie but not an ollie im not use to pop with my left leg should i start trying to ride standard?
what deck are you using?
When I try to ollie, i can pop the board up and level out okay, but i can never land my back foot on the board. My front foot lands on the bolts, but i have a hard time with the back foot. Any suggestinons?
Aldrin Garcia seems like a cool guy, I think most skateboarders are just relaxed, cool people.
Hey Guys, I need your help, I've been skating for a couple of months now, and my ollie is pretty decent. My only problem is, that i cant seem to push my front foot out in front of me, so I dont get much higher than a curb and sometimes have trouble leveling my board properly. But I just dont know how i should push out my board in front of me when im in the air.
Leaning forward helps with sliding your foot forward.
When I pop what do I do with the foot I just popped with because In the video it looks like the foot stays on the board the whole time but when I try to keep my foot on the board I don't even get air help please
hey some people said that i cant traVEL with my sjateboard cause i cant use it for like 3 years cause im still growing is it like true?

Hey guys could you please help me? Everytime I ollie i always land like sideways or 90 degreess any help?
