I remember the blue Pullman with he two windows from when I was a kid, there was some kind of transfer or emblem on the front of them and they always looked very futuristic and gorgeous to me. I went on one once when I was about 8, when we went on holidays somewhere in England from Cardiff station. I miss seeing them and the class 37's that used to bring freight up and down the lines here in those days. Now we only have one line and short trains.

Nice to also see Teignmouth station. I used to do the trip from Dawlish Warren to Teignmouth every day for school from 1966 t0 1971. An amazing piece of railway engineering.

Great video and the train is stunning and the engine is it original you can tell because the normal HST’s are a low rumble sound but this one is a high sound engine and I saw it at Dawlish Warren

Listening to this I suspect the set may have Paxman VP185 prime movers - perhaps someone with greater knowledge can confirm. They're not Valentas but they don't sound like the usual MTU powered sets either.

if youre going to create a new pullman and go to all that trouble ,wouldnt be worth at least just sorting out the drivers windows to look like the original
