I have read that Neil was going to release his version but was asked if the Monkees could record it instead-he not only said yes but had nothing but praise for the Monkees version and as he said years later "Ito this day I have no regrets!"
The Monkees were so awesome in their day. Q: anyone notice how the solo sounds a bit like Wipe Out by the Surfaris?
