Just because coilovers are made in a certain place doesn't make them garbage...i invested in fortune autos. Because I didn't want cheap, poor performance coilovers on my mr2.
Nice to see a build with a G25-660. I was planning on a g25-550 with maybe a 5s block to work the low end torque as a daily. And yet this 2.0 liter seems to spool the 660 just fine.
overboost may be a wastegate issue. STock wastegate porting is pretty cuckolded and if you have a very effecient exhaust it won't port out air fast enough
Thinking the same thing. Get the setup on the bench, work it with the arm disconnected, check for interference and break out the die grinder. The new G series flow a lot better than you expect from the frame size. Be curious to see how free flowing the wastegate plumbing is downstream too on this custom setup.
@@mchatin696 i know. it was a loaded question. this is a swap car. yes Turbo models had 6800rpm (it stopped short of 7000 by 2 ticks if you look closely)
Owner might want to consider water/meth if he’s after more power without the e85 availability. Plenty of fail safe’s. Though honestly it doesn’t look like it needs more :)
I was about to comment and say that you should let the owner drive for a little footage.. glad I stayed til the end👌🏼
