I bought a audio control Lc2 I to add to my factory stereo in a VW Caddy Highline. I have 2 amps. A mono amp for my jl audio sub and a 4 channel which I'll be using 2 channels only for JL coaxial in the doors. I bought a Steve meade DD-1 to set my amp gains. How do I go about doing this when a Lc2i is being used. Any help and advice from anyone is much appreciated 👍 great channel 💪
CarAudioFabrication will I get more bass with 2 kicker cxa 600.1 on kicker L7s wired paralleled? An amp on each speaker?
Their manual on the DD-1 addresses this. You adjust the gains throughout the chain.
Nice shot at 4:03.
@@CarAudioFabrication thank you
Thanks for sharing your builds, I have a Wrangler myself and have done completed audio upgrades on the Jeep and your video's are encourageing me to continue to enhance my system.
Love the tutorials. Detailed and delivered
You have got REAL CLASS, how you work, how you present and your appearance. Compliments my friend!!!
Dude, your videos are helping me so much with my installs! Most of my time is going into becoming a different type of profesional so, I can’t afford to pay an installer like yourself (one day) but for now I’m happy to produce what I can, even if it’s only half of the quality you do... it makes me happy ✌🏼
My Rockford amp had a Bass knob but I couldn’t find a place I liked to mount it in my Ram. So I made a digital potentiometer circuit and used 2 small momentary buttons that I hid behind the fabric on my arm rest. So all I had to do was press where my hand usually sat, and adjust the bass as needed. Hidden and works well.
Super clean dude! Nice work!
I’m from Germany and i really like how you installing your system.
I looked so many videos from you in the last time and i have learned so many things how i can make a clean install by myself.
Last weekend the time has come and i installed my new audio equipment in my new car after nearly planned it for two months and it’s awesome but it looks not so perfect like yours.
I wished i had so much tools that you have, especially the router.
You inspired and helped me so much and i wanted to say thank you, hopefully we all can see lot more videos from you.
local classifieds,garage sales,garbage day ,used....
well done Mark awesome build, awesome watch professional
You you never disappoint me with your videos 👍 that's for all the different ideas in car audio fabrication.
Another great video😀 the previous build sounded great also
Your work is so good. Always a pleasure to watch.
Thanks man! It's fun to do too!
Great video as always. I don't think you can go wrong with "Audio Control" equipment as well.
Nice clean work
Finally I been waiting on video like this!! I got 2 kicker cxa 600.1. Going on kicker L7s.
I really need that 810 😁 I've been good almost all year.
Very clean setup
Are you hiring? Lol I recently rekindled a passion for car audio and your videos have kicked that passion into overdrive! Ive almost watched every video you’ve released haha I want the knowledge! I personally appreciate what you do here on this channel and I am a huge fan, if you ever have a spot open up my resume is prepped and ready to send! Keep it up! Top notch stuff man!
When is the rest of this build coming? I am getting ready to set up a very similar system. Cant wait to see the rest of this build!
I really love to watch your videos. I really like car audio too, and i want to earn money by tuning peoples car audio and later installing audio systems for people.
You have a lot of knowledge about what you are doing and i really love that, seriously...
And that you tell exaclty what you are doing each step are helping so many people!
I have one question!
Can you make a video where you show and learn us, how to tune car audio by our ears and what the difference settings means.
Your builds are always out of this world! That being said, dang, audio control is spendy!
Love your channel I've watched so many of your videos and I've learned more from you than I ever have from anyone else. Thanks from Me. Lol
Should have said, "More room for more boom!!!"
More wham so we can jam!
More Bass for your Face!
It's probably best to protect the pcb of the ACR3. The moisture in colder days could corrode /damage the connectors and solder joints. I would unsolder the LED's and the potmeter and install them separately to populate those unused caps. I'm looking forward to the make over and how it will turn out. 😋👍
Yes!!! Another upload!
Did you ever install the ACR3 into the witch panel on the jeep? Could not find the video to follow up this build. Thanks.
Hey Mark, did you ever make a video showing how you put the ACR-3 into one of the blank panels? If so, can you point me to the video?
my dad had an audio control amp in the mid 90s that had a 10 way dsp adjustable on top of the amp built in. It got stolen from our storage unit while we were moving, along with his solo 10, my first ruger 10/22 and a bunch of other stuff that I do not remember. This was in 1999. But man, his mb quart reference mids, tweets with that solo 10 and audio control amp in his badass suburban was so cool. That's the vehicle I was 16 in. I still have my audio control 2xs from that era with a pair of the 6.5 mb quarts out of that burb... paired with my ppi powerclass. (first gen, lets be real the only one that matters). 250. 2100 and 450. I am getting ready to put some of it in my 95 fj80. I am going to put the rest which came out of my 97 civic coupe back in the coupe. I still have it! 94000 miles. that i put on all but 48 from the showroom. People give me so much shit about keeping the car I had when I was 16. But it's about to be b18c5 swapped and I can't tell you how many car shows I have been to where people are regretful of getting rid of the car they drove in highschool.
Yo dude, another great video ..what happens to all the old gear from this jeep build ?
Clean install, I'm putting the same setup in my 16 Silverado. What fuse did you use at the battery? And what size did you use on the block?
Hello, respective gauge you are using for these 2 amplifiers ? Thanks !
when are u doing the next video...cant wait to see this system tune up
I am enjoying following this build as well your build on the other Jeep from a few years ago. What Head Unit are you using or would you recommend in a system like this.
How much does your alternator push for these? Cause I was thinking about upgrading lc1.800 dual p2s for the lc1.1500 and getting some dual p3s.
I've asked Audio Control to add a "pro" mode where you get a full range of xover options. Maybe you can ask too ; )
You almost have the setup I want in this video....... I want the D 4.800 and an LC 1.800. Sooo much easier and less wiring needed for that setup over my bit 10, amps and passive crossovers. I would run my Morel Hybrids active with the D 4.800 and then run my 12w6v3 with the LC 1.800. I need money!
Tickle Fingers that would be an excellent system. Running active with everything (crossovers/slope/levels/time alignment) is a step or 5 forward, especially with the Morel Hybrids, they need the powahhh! I’m curious why you aren’t already running active with your current setup considering you have the Audison Bit 10? Might be worth a shot as it would be a lot cheaper than new equipment, although weigh up resale of old equipment as well. Just in case you aren’t aware (don’t know your knowledge of it is all, no offence intended), remember to put an inline resister on each tweeter when running active so that if there is every a failure in the signal chain, your tweeters aren’t instantly blown by trying to play frequencies too low. Good luck with the next stage of the system 🙂
Are you still planning on doing a video of mounting the acr3 knob with the leds ? I’m trying to install mine in a nice custom spot and was hoping to catch a few tips
You make it look soooooo easy! That's what happens when you have all the right equipment and tools for the job!!! I still use and struggle with black tape and bare wire to make connections!!!!! BUT IT WORKS!!! Crimping is still advanced work for me!!!!😔
Not saying this is you but WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE fall on this crutch of "Man I can't do that, I don't have the tools". Instead of finding reasons you CAN'T do something find a way you CAN. I seriously just had a guy send me pics this week that made a BEAUTIFUL one of a kind subwoofer enclosure. He did the whole thing in his back yard with literally a circular saw and a cheap router mounted upside down in a piece of scrap wood. He found a way to make it work. I didn't always have the tools I do now. Quality tools make things go faster and get a better finish, but you can still get great results with cheap tools and SKILL. And for the record, I have made several "cheap tool" videos, and no one really watches them, which sometimes makes me think people rather just complain than learn. czcams.com/video/wf1KDzmZSEI/video.html
@@CarAudioFabrication I watched it and picked up some good ideas! Thanks...BTW I was not being negative towards your video
I know! Just saying! Thanks for watching
Good tools don't make you better, they just make you faster
@@shorthood2518 I didn't say tools make you better...I said it makes it easier!! Keep up......
Can you do a video on how to make a phantom center channel speaker?
Kinda like the center channel speakers used in most OEM premium audio systems?
Im doing my first custom install so I have some questions. I basically don't know anything about stereo install but I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can. I'm installing a component system for the speakers with an amp. I'm also installing 1 12" in the back with a separate amp. I hear a lot of talk on most of your videos about a digital signal processer. Am I required to have one on my build? Or can I just do the 2 amps, sub, and components, with my factory head unit.
Buddy well done I dream of doing a nice clean install like this in my nissian xtrail 2006 do you mind sharing some view or help ??
Hey mark I got a question for you about the LC2i. I want to run an amp for my sub and an amp for my four door speakers. Now most 4ch amps have two sets of rca inputs. The LC2i only has one set of rca out for main. How do I use the LC2i to hook up a 4ch amp and a mono block amp for my subs?
Hi Mark I'm trying to see how you used a single remote wire to turn on both amps. I couldn't catch it in the video
damnit mark come on
Where you located. You do great work .iam get my box Chevy did .
More room for the boom
Question... I bought a box with 2 12" polk audio subs in it. While installing box into car, noticed only 1 +/- connection for speaker wire so i pulled the speakers out. Both speakers are run by dedicated wires for each sub out of the 1 connection on the box. I've noticed that the speaker furthest away from the box connector drops out. Should i wire the speakers inline of eachother?
If i add a subwoofer to my Electric WV Golf, do you know if i need to do something for the electric system ? Have you installed an amp in a Electric vehicle ?
(What i'm thinking about is how fast the "BIG BATTERY" (the 85KW battery) deliveres 12-15V battery ?
Thinkin of buyin that "Grit" hoodie. 😜
Do it! I'd appreciate it. 😎😊
@@CarAudioFabrication DONE! (Thanks For Your Purchase!
An email confirmation has been sent to you.)
Have you run a power wire for every single amp to the battery or just one wire to the battery. How that works?
always a good vidéo !!!
Great info help. I bought subs One 10 " Woofer with Single 4 ohm Voice Coil
800 Watts MAX 400 Watts RMS Power Handling 87dB Sensitivity, 38 Hz Resonant Frequencyd). Will the Rockford Fosgate R500X1D Prime 1-Channel Class D Amplifier 300 Watts x 1 @ 4-Ohms, 500 Watts x 1 @ 2-Ohms, Frequency 20Hz to 250Hz +/-1dB. will this do the job
So I have this idea that I want to run a dedicated battery and alternator (if alternator is needed) for my install but I don’t want to run off my stock battery nor do I want to bypass the ignition key. Would it be too much to do a video on this?
Can i connect two different amps with different ohm for one sub
Hi can you tell me how to run 2 subs with 2 amps? I have read conflicting info. Stereo or mono? Not exactly sure on how to feed signals to the subs from amps.
Where you get your amp rack material
Can i do the same thing but one amp is an underfloor subwoofer? I got a 1600w 5 channel amp but want an underfloor sub aswell as boot sub. The under floor sub has it's own built in amp. Just the amps are different wattage
Does one 5 channel amp sound worse than separate amps for 4 speakers and a sub?
Hi there...a advise from u..i have focal pe165f3 (80w). I wanto run this speaker by jbl stage a6004. What u think about this?
I have a 2003 Chevy s10 ls extended cab and I only have 4 speakers and they are all in the front and I want to put at least (4) 6×9's in the rear of my truck, any suggestions?
Are two or three amps bad for ur stock car speakers or no?
Hi, can you please help me choose right amplifier to power my 2 10” subwoofers dual 4ohms and 1000 RMS each (combined 2000 rms and i wired them in parallel to make 1 Ohm load). I’m choosing between 2 taramps amplifiers, one is giving 3000 rms output at 1 ohm and another amplifier is 5000 rms at 1 ohm. Which one will be best for this setup? And also i have more questions, is 3000 or 5000 rms power more than subwoofers need? Is this extra power going to blow subwoofers? Or do I use 2500 rms amplifier?
Thank you
I need help i have a factory amplifier installed for my speakers front and rear. Noe i bought another amplifier with subwoofer. I do not know how to connect them together... Do i need to tap my other amplifier for connection or my head unit? Also it has rca cabels but does not have an input for them
Does the amp not get hot in that enclosed area?
Why do you use a distribution block for your ground wire and not run separate grounds? The ground currents from one will raise the potential to the ground of another.
LOL!
Will be waiting for the sub install video. I'm running a single RF P3D4 10 in a sealed (I know, I know, but I need room over boom) box in a 2 door JK. Built the box to occupy the same area as your install in this jeep. Mine is mounted on passenger side though. Thoughts of adding another 10 on the driver's side and another 500 watts to drive it, or ditching the P3 for something else, have crossed my mind.
Hi,
What I'am unable to understand is ---- why some components speakers have small form factor crossover and some have a big one. Alpine have a small and lets say Hertz or Helix or Gladen or Ground Zero have the big one, I have in purpose mentioned specific names ( I have looking to upgrade my stock audio system, today: 2 way components ( front and back ) not bad in sound quality for stock audio really, just not good enough for me... What I have intended to upgrade : 2 way components ( front and back ) just high end ( SQ / SQL ), amplifier ~ 800 W RMS 5 or 8 channels, sound processor 6 or 8 channels, subwoofer. So why speakers with 500$ price tag ( Alpine X-S65C) have small crossover box with only 2 capacitors ?
Can you combine 2 different brand amps together? Both are monoblock.
Did u get the answer to that
@caraudiofabrication and fellow viewers, I need your input. Thanks to this channel, I've made the effort to install a sound system in my current car and I'm so close to finishing it that I'm amazed I even got that far. I made mistakes, wasted money on wooden speaker spacers, did my research and I'm now at a point whereby I have 99% of the items sorted. I just need to install my speakers and route my speaker cables to my doors. This project was an effort in learning how to do a sound install for myself and to see what was required. I could have just paid someone to do it for me but I wanted to learn so I see the money as education expenditure rather than a waste. Right now I need to get a new subwoofer and I'm looking for a good entry level SQ sub that works well but doesn't blow the budget. It'll go into a Toyota Corolla. I previously had a Targa sub, now I have a second hand Evo and I'm looking at a Polk, DLS, JBL, Rockford Fosgate etc brand as I'd like to hear the bass but not be overwhelmed by it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Your inputs are much appreciated.
My current parts: JVC X351BT head unit, Targa TG 485 amp (100RMS, 4 channel), Evo 12" sub, Polk DXi6501 component speakers. Japanese oxygen free copper coaxial RCA cables. Generic speaker wire to be replaced with oxygen free copper cable when all is installed.
I wanna rebuild my car system like this.
Get on it! What's holding you back?
CarAudioFabrication time and knowledge. Biggest think being tuning I don’t have the equipment and I don’t feel I understand how to tune it well enough.
Are you running ofc power and ground or CCA
OFC, the only choice. The reason it is silver in color is it is tinned for protection.
Where do you operate out of?
Did you upgrade the alternator or battery at all for this build? I am running 3 amps (4x75 Watts RMS for 6.5", 4x45 Watts RMS for 3.5", 2x150 Watts RMS for 10" subs) and I have to keep my gains set real low to prevent clipping (using old school oscilloscope from my physics lab supplies). I was thinking I need to upgrade the electrical system in my 2017 Wrangler but it looks like you are not doing any electrical system upgrade and you have way more Watts than I do. PLEASE HAAAALLLLPPPP!
Hook jab let's fab I'm dying
are you going with a ported or sealed box
Definitely not sealed. :) You will see.
FML, the LC1.1500 goes for $770 now
This is what happens when our world "leaders" destroy free trade and our economies. Raw parts are drastically more expensive now.
@@CarAudioFabrication ye its unfortunate and really sad
Which is the best company of audio sound system for a car ? Because i want a nice sound system for my RX-8 with the stock location of the speaker and i want the best of the best. I need help. 😅
Learn this now and save yourself a lot of head ache. There is no BEST. It's what is best for you and this depends on many variables. Budget, size of install, fitment, etc. You will have to do some research to determine what is best for you.
Get yourself two 13 w7s in the trunk with 8w7s in the doors.
That's a dependable system that is not above norm and sounds great.
You need to get 18" subs, at least 4 in the trunk and two in the cabin, with a 1200w rms per sub.
@@twicepast7 yeah I remember back in the day everyone had those volcanoes
What about installing an amp with 2 power and ground inputs
Im not sure I understand your question, you would obviously need double the wiring?
@@CarAudioFabrication maybe with double alt bracket.

how can increase my bass by using amplifier for car?
Looking at converting an old system to a radio for my shed, I live in the UK so would be 240v, and ideas how can I connect the head unit, amp etc to the mains and what about the aerial for the radio? Any ideas welcome :) thanks
James Erbe you can get some computer power supplies for cheap
Why didn’t you just recess the power distribution blocks into the bottom plate, it would’ve saved you so much time and work.
No, recessed wouldn't have left enough material for screws to hold into, and even if i did it would be more work than simply cutting a clearance hole.
TELL YOU WHAT BUD I WILL JUST GET A AMP THAT WILL FIT MY NEEDS .. BY THE TIME YOU HAVE TO BUY ALL THE EXTRAS ..THE MONEY CAN GO TO A BIG AMP AND SELL THE OTHERS OLD AMPS ON EBAY
just send those old amps to me I will store them for you.😎
