So my home studio is in one of the corners in my bedroom and it is next to a wall so I don’t know if back ported monitors or front porch and monitors are better for the best response

Listen up all you Ditherers. This is important. If you are learning how to record WavyWayne is the place to go. I’ve been pouring over the internet for years and I can tell you from a point of wisdom that there are countless mixers, masterers and ditherers that have infinite knowledge of recording but there are very few teachers. Had the Adam t5v and Yamaha hs5 but got some cheap Mackie´s mr624 and Wow
they sound so much bigger with an open stage.. the messurements show a superflat Frequency
but they sound really Hi-Fi, very impressed by Mackie.

Some say the NT1 is more flat across the board providing a more accurate reference whereas the NT1a is brighter on the high end. I know you are pretty good with this kind of stuff so what you think?

I’ve always used headphones for my pc, some decent (i dont spend that much) speakers for my tv (kef q150). Now I’m thinking getting a pair for my pc, so, near field.
Would monitors suit my needs? I don’t create music or anything, I do,play games. Would a monitor be ok for me? Maybe max 500 for a pair.

Picked up the JBLs used (no Bluetooth) for pretty cheap and it was worth it, they play a static sound though when nothing is coming through it, but when music is played the static sound goes away.

The Yamaha HS5 has a sub woofer would it be good to get that a well I know it would jack up the Price.
Snagged a pair of Yamaha HS8's for under $500 (a little over with tax) online from Alto Music in NY which was a steal. Always looking for those good refurbished deals. Also using them to appreciate the bass in the opening music of your videos. 👌🏼

I've been doing a lot of looking up mixing in mono. I currently have a pair of bx8 graphite, and samson mediaone bt5. Could I buy a single high end(focal or adam audio) monitor and use it as a center channel and mix on that?
i do not see why you couldn't, as long as you mix and master in mono like you said you should be fine.
I found a set of krk rokit g4 7 for $250. I was gonna go for a pair of the 5s but that's $389 and smaller

Wayne, you said that you prefer mixing on five inch monitors. In my research, I’ve been told that smaller monitors do not produce proper low end. What is your opinion on this? The style of music I produce requires proper bass.

Have you ever listened to both the focal alpha 65 and the hs7? If so which ones do you prefer and why? What are the plus and cons of each?
@@gfbgamerpt171 I have not listened to the HS7, but I prefer the Alpha's for two reasons:
- The Yamaha has a soft dome tweeter, which I am not a fan of. I really like the inverted metal dome tweeter Focal has
- The Yamahas are back ported. I find front ported speakers a bit more convenient as placement is a bit more straight forward. The Focal Alphas are front ported.
