Morning beautiful lady, interesting what you say. As a nurse Ive sat with many patients taking their last breath, holding their hand, especially during Covid In Intensive Care. I felt honoured to be there ❤❤Its humbling. I so admire your honesty and strength, enjoy each day, I do, you never know whats around the corner. 🥰🌺🌸🦋☀️
Thank you, Denise! You have had such an interesting perspective on dying. If you feel comfortable sharing, what would be a common sentiment you have heard from those who are on the verge of leaving this world? Has it been that they hold regret? Has it been that they feel loved? Say more…
Those people that have left this world were comfortable, at peace with there life and quite often knew I was there even if they were on pain killers. There faces were relaxed and some had a smile, some said thank you or love you. I always talked to my patients even when they had passed. The patients hearing is the last thing to go when they get sleepy so very important what you say and let them know your with them. Hope this helps ❤❤
I don’t fear death itself, I just fear the “how.” So I think you nailed it here. For me, so much fear is tied to not knowing. That’s one reason I had a prophylactic mastectomy. The other option was being closely monitored with annual MRIs and probably many more biopsies and lots of time spent waiting for test results. Now you don’t have to worry the damned bear. I love your attitude ❤️
