Very good tutorial. Same problem, same solution: changing D10 diode with new one, and the TV works. Thanks!!
Exactly the same board in a Lindsar 28LED1600 (and same insides too by the look of it). Exactly the same fault, bit I changed all the diodes. Mended TV for just a few pounds. Many thanks. David
mine had exactly the same fault, replaced the diodes and presto! TV working again, big thank you for posting this mate!
Good video. The faulty diode is D10. The reason that the three diodes gave wrong reading because D10,D12 and D25 are all in parallel. You done the right thing by changing all of them.
Oh it's D10. No need for me to pull one leg off and put probes on A and K
I like your british humor! And you saved my life for this weekend, because I also succeeded in fixing my TelefunkenT22ED970BLLed,it had the Vestel 17IPS61-2. Also only one of the 3 big diodes in parallel was blown, leading to the shortcut. Fortunately nothing else got damaged. To mention is the type is a SB5100,which is considered too weak for this kind of circuit, theoccuring reverse voltage it cannot stand under all circumstances. This one is a Schottky diode with low forward voltage.I replaced it with a higher voltage withstanding type MUR460 from Motorola, and it is important to replace all 3 with the same type even only one got broke. Hopefully these will last longer! ;-))) Also keep in mind the polarity, for the the cathode which is signed by a white band. I soldered it to the board also with the same distance to PCB as before for better power dissipation. Thanks a lot for the video.
TheThreshershark glad it worked...
Very didactic and great video. A lot of thanks for sharing Steve, from Barcelona. I've repaired my TV TLFK 22LEDPVR (power supply 17IPS61-2), the fault diode was D25 (diagonal position), I've changed four diodes for precaution as your recomendations. Magic moment when the TV works again.
Thank you so much. I had 2 bad diodes which I replaced and voila. I also put thermal paste for liquid metal to take better shape. Regards!
Good video very precise cutting the boring bits of taking the back off 👍👍
My problem is picky comes on for a second then you can here frying on the power panel 👍👍
Please reply
I was about to bin my digihome tv. then a quick Google search and i saw this video. Fixed it in minutes.
Working for AYA 22" TV Many thanks I'm very pleased, so is the planet
Good to see that your workshop is just like mine and I have to resort to working on a table in the house as well. With my luck, putting it back together before testing it would guarantee a second unrelated fault and have to take it apart again
Thank you for the video, i have the same problem and i replaced the diodes ...work perfectly!
Toshiba TV içinde Vestel imalatı güç kartı. Vestel cidden işi ilerletmiş helal olsun
Now this is a useful video, mine has only two diodes in parallel, one wasn't good, replaced it with a HER305 found in an old sattelite receiver power source since the specs are the same except reverse voltage 400V max.
17IPS71 - Same repair. Good video.
thx for your help. I have the same pb. Waiting new diode now
i fix right now one with your guide! thanks!
Good video and good help. I had that fault, exactly D10.
The other diodes are SB5100, but the faulty one was SB5B0.
I think I will do as you have said before, replace all and add 2 more diodes that are in the serigraphy, but have not been mounted.
You should advise people to make sure them caps aint charged before handling
Thank you for your video. it was very helpful for me.
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!
Googling the 17IPS61-3 led me to this video and it was a great help to get a hint to those diodes!
Untill my ordered replacement parts arrive, I unsoldered those 4, found the dead one, put that to the bin and I re-ordered them, so that there is 2 instead of 3 in parrallel and everything is working now!
Again - all the best wishes and thank you!
Very helpful video. thank you!
Merci Steve i fixed mine with your example
For the cover opening and closing after a few glass damaging due to the hardness of plastic and the vibrations that causes leading in glass breakings especially in the corners i found a way by heating the back cover with a heat gun in the edges. This softens a lot the plastics and the opening and more important the closing is making in a very smooth way.The plastics are a kind of thermoplastic very stiff when cold but if heated is quite easy to deal with.Otherwise looks difficult and how in earth people worked on them in the factory.
Thanks for the vid no how, same problem on my daughters tv, Id figured it was that board and will test and renew the diodes
Great job, great man, please more tutorials. thanks
Thank you, very good video
Thank you.
Thanks for your video help, found fault in one diode so i ordered the kit from you. Thank you
Daragh Counihan kit sent today as the post office was shut yesterday. Good luck.
@@g4ekm Thank you
Thank's for usefull videoguide. In my case it was number D12.
Thank you,the same problem
Worked for me, thanks man. 👍
Good job
Many thanks for the info !!!!
And my big regrets for the EU exit :-((
David Cameron will fill the history books as the man who has splitted the UK !!
Welcome Scotland to EU.
very good
What's the 2 settings you used on the multimeter to check the fuse then the diodes. Cheers?
Blimey steve that music is overpoweringly LOUD
Mine seems to have the 2 bigger ones on top left corner slightly melted? Can you supply those as well ? Or a test procedure for those please? Many thanks. Ian
There's no need to remove a whole diode to check whether it works or not. Just removing a leg of the diode is enough to check.
I have a The 17IPS61-3 Model. No Power and Standby are not present. Ill be attempting to repair it.
i have version 2 of this board, can i fit either one ?
What to do with one of these that basically works, but the PSU squeaks, do the caps fail in this model?
How can you check a diode with it connected to the board ! ,you will get a route back each side of the diode 1 .
pls what is the 20pin pinout? I want to replace this psu with a pc psu and need the pinout
I replaced the 3 set of diodes but still get no stand by light.
My tv has no picture just sound i can't see any faded image with a tourch but taking a look at the pcu board, it has a brown colour to the board like heat damage. Will replacing it fix the problem?
Thank you.Very good video. I checked my TV and find that is same problem with big diodes and two small diodes beside a fuse. Fuse is gone too. Can you name(what marking or name of the parts) those all parts please? (big diodes.small diodes and a fuse) I can find them on eBay then. Thank you very much.
+Antanas Antanaitis Hi see link above
Well, mine was just as burned, I'm going to change and see if it works
Hi mate , I have same problem with my 17ips20, I got a replacement from a respectable company, success but 5 second after turn on its dead again any help please 👍
Saludos.
Who i Can by the diods?
Thanks
Hello vice video, I have a a TV (Finlux 32findb82) and I have a problem with the TV, time to time it does not work, the led lights on some times, then it works for one minute and goes off again, I have changed the four diodes (1N4007) the one that was on my motherboard VESTEL 17IPS62. but I have still the same problem . could you please let me know if I have to change any other parts on the the board? I will be greatfull.
The main fix is to change all of the diodes. Check to see if there are any other bad connections on the board
Capacitors and diodes are all good on my intermittently shutting down board. eBay time I think! 👍
Revisa las soldaduras, puede que allá alguna defectuosa, si sigue fallando, dale calor por zonas con un secador de pelo o similar para ver si falla.
Hi, what's the voltage this PSU supply to LED back light? Thanks in advance.
Not sure, unfortunately I don’t have this tv any longer but still sell the repair kits
I am not having standby light at all :(
Mine powers on but turns it self off after 5 seconds. Would a new power supply board sort this
Chris did you resolved the problem? My tv turns off the backlight if it is set to normal or high . It only works on low
You beauty. Just saved me having to buy my wife a new telly :-)
What's the number of IC U2. I ACCIDENTALLY S/C THE PIN. SW.MODE CHIP
ICE3BR1765J
Did he realise that the diodes are in parallel - read short on one will read short all paralleled
Bet you tested it powered up' before you bolted it altogether...;)
This kit can be obtained from www.g4ekm.com. Free P&P in the UK

But thanks any way
Steve Green good video but do you know where i can get the fuse because thats blown to and also three of the diodes are blown exept for one as the video. The link in description only supplys diodes and no fuse. Do you know where i can get the fuse from. Thanx.
Failz&Winz&Everything possible try RS components or Farnell. These are in the U.K.
Steve Green thanx for your reply if i were to buy another 17IPS61-3 power board from online for £20 from buyspares website how long do you think those will last for in a bush tv. Its cuz i dont have the tools to solder bits on etc?
Failz&Winz&Everything hard to say. Some last years, others pop like breakfast cereal..
