I'm just a hardcore Mario fan, and this is the BEST orchestral arrangement of the series that I ever saw in my life.
Im also a hardcore fan but it would be too much work for me to sort all soundtracks from this video;)

All those years people laughed at the beeps and bloops I loved, but they didn't realize THIS is what I was hearing in my head the whole time.
Seriously... I got proof... remixed the Mario 2 boss theme on my channel based off of tunes in my head from a child.
we even played on money town city river where you gotta guess few words for our own topics and one was phone ring tone or song and then i came up with fly octo fly by ebb and flow and they didn't knew that nintendo was making music for their games, and then i gained my 10 points. PEOPLE WHO NEVER PLAYED GAMES OR HEARD OF THEM DON'T UNDERSTAND THOSE MASTERPIECES OF MUSIC!!!
The funny thing is if you asked a music/film snob who has never played video games to listen to the Skyrim or Halo Suite, they would say how amazing the music is and what film or symphony it was from. This has happened to me several times.
I would love to see this orchestra cover the Undertale OST.

Yeah, musician's don't get paid a lot. It's per performance, and if you can't get in an ensemble, you're pretty much screwed. The industry's pretty cut throat.

Don't think they're in it for the money. Yes they must have families to take care of and all that. But musicians. They love what they do so much that they wudve kept playing even if they weren't paid.

Or would policemans and firefighters work for free just because their vocation is to save people? This misconception about musicians that they should play for free just because they love music is ruining the business in some cases!
Peoply sadly use that argument in order to not pay musicians and ask them to work for free.
Also, the musicians in this orchestra are not amateurs, they are professional and have a salary.

My dad passed away a couple of months ago. He bought my older brother and I our first Nintendo in ‘89.

Orchestras always astound me. The coordination it requires to sound this amazing is unreal. Everyone is a specialized piece to the sound and they practice mastering their own part. I’m just stating the obvious at this point but yeah.

I love how the underwater theme of both the original game and super mario world are both at a waltz like rythm (1/3 if i'm not mistaken). Kondo is truly a musical genius! And this performance is giving some classics the respect they deserve!

The first uninterrupted snippet of the Mario Movie just released, and it has a gorgeous orchestral soundtrack -- the composers (Brian Tyler/Koji Kondo) fit in at least 8 pieces from the games in a clip only a minute and 30 seconds long!!!

Every so often, something comes along that restores my faith in both humanity and the Internet. This brilliant arrangement and performance is one of those things. My eyes teared up almost immediately.

I first watched this in 2013. It Is now 2022. It still fills my heart with as much joy as it did then.

This is a magical celebration of the Koji Kondo's classic Mario themes superbly arranged into an incredible and flowing orchestral storty-telling medley. Andreas Hedlund has done an absolutely MARVELOUS work! Pure joy! The perilous Castle Section with the sudden aid of Toad's House & Gusty Garden reprieve and the Super Mario Bros Theme blending into the triumphant Level Clear Finale were both very creative and utterly delightful.
There are no words for this. It's too damn good! This is one of the most beautiful suites I've ever heard! Literally caused me to stop what I was doing at work and just feel it. It really moved my soul... and I still haven't found it since lol.
