I've said it before, but dogs are not impulse purchases. Especially not the dogs that can be mistaken for bears at a medium distance.
haha those are some small extra drooly bears
You can’t just get a dog then do no work with it
It's our instant gratification culture. Every impulse & whim is acted on & fulfilled, with no thought for any consequences, repercussions or impact on others.
Honestly you should need a license for any kind of animal. They're an incredibly large responsibility, and if you fail to uphold that responsibility it's ultimately the animal that pays for it.
Why does‘t the woman say no and say to her me you have to give the dogs back were you brought it or to the animal shelter. If I would do that, my family will not allow me to hold that dog or cat in the house, even if he brings it in surprise or just try to rehome the dog!

@@gooseymoosey1630 my mom does the same thing but denys it
@@gooseymoosey1630 maybe through body language. But one of my neighbor did it and you could tell, anything the owner told her dog, went into one ear and out the other. The dog just didn't listen cuz she was talking to him 24/7, he didn't even know when she was addressing him and expecting him to do/don't do something. Didnt help that the dog wasn't very smart either. She was lucky he was an incredibly friendly doofus, considering he was huge, very strong and didn't respect her or her family what so ever. He pulled her across streets and wouldn't come back when called. Yelling at him, what he did wrong and all that, when he finally did come back didn't help either. Honestly shame. What a sweet dog. I'd have loved to work with him
Oh yeah, I talk to my dogs like they're people all the time. But when they need to understand something, I switch to using commands in a strong voice. I find the change in tone is just as important as the words I'm using. If I put on my serious voice, they know they need to listen, and you can see their demeanor instantly change as they focus much more intently on me.

I love dogs but I've been accused of not liking them when I turn away from them jumping on me. It's nice to see Victoria do the same thing. Even dog lovers don't want to be scratched and bit and slobbered all over.
I agree with you whole heartedly. Even dog owners want to wear lovely cloths without paw Mark's. It is not unkind to teach good manners and because dogs do not use the same language as humans we need to teach them I the way they understand. Turning your back is not that you don't live them. It is because you do love them and have learned their ways because of that love. If more people understood this fewer people would have doh problems. I think you are probably an owner that could teach me things about dogs and their manners.
I’ve used that technique on my newest addition, Ladybug and it’s slowly working! Just being consistent.
The fact that he used the fact of buying a new car like a way to justify buying and bringing a new LIFE to the family when he cant even handle the dogs they already have is just insane to me, if i was her i would be FURIOUS!
I would have given him the divorce papers the same day he pulled that ‘power move’.
Yeah, a $50,000 car in exchange for taking care of a dog seems like a sweet deal to me. Taking care of dogs is a lot of work. $50,000 is a lot of money. Ain't nothin' free in this world.
@@ahoneyman She's his wife, not his employee. A transactional relationship isn't a healthy one smh

My husband wanted the dog. We got the dog. I was really resentful because I was the one that ended up training him and taking care of him and doing everything. My husband had a really bad habit of wanting pets, but only the fun parts, not the nasty parts of pet ownership. We're better now; he's pulling his weight and helping a lot more, of course, after many discussions (many HEATED), but I know how the wife feels and it sucks.
Damn that sucks. People like your husband really need to learn that pets are not toys, they are a responsibility and companion that needs your care. Ugh.

Get the dog near a bucket, grab with one hand, and try to splash with the other.

It’s a child's dream to live with a houseful of dogs... they just don't consider the care that goes into it most of the time
Growing up with multiple dogs is amazing, as long as they're properly trained and taken care of. And, to state the obvious, cleaned up after.
when I was younger we had up to 5 dogs at some point (one of them being a great dane)
3 were outside dogs, and the great dane and fox terrier were inside dogs

I mean, if your gonna take care of them and treat everyone involve properly, then yea, go for it. I just meant how kids don’t _usually_ expect there to be any work and just want dogs
It depends, like if you have little kids and not trained dogs, it's dangerous, but if they are train and dependable, and you have the responsibility for kids and dog, than go for it

You are my role model when it comes to animals the way you understand them and know so much about them leaves me in awe
From a few months after I was born to around 7 years later I lived with rottweilers. My mom said that they both (we owned two but at different years) listened to me even though I was super tiny a basically a toddler.
I guess I knew when and how to use that firm tone you have to use with dogs. They weren't afraid of me or anything, they just noticed my tone change and instantly knew what was up lol.
It's great (and highly encouraged) that you talk to your dog to build a friendship with them, as long as you remember they're dogs. Not humans. They might be your best friend but they don't understand human so you have to have some kind of let them know when you're giving a command/getting them to do something, if you don't then they'll just stare at you because you're just speaking gibberish to them. Exciting and happy gibberish, but it's still gibberish.
If you feel bad about using a firm tone with your bestie dog friend and can't even think about ever getting firm with them, then maybe try with noises instead. Like clickers or make a noise you don't normally make so they can pair that noise and the command in their mind. It might not worked but it's worth a shot.
I love how Victoria is so brave she inspires me ❤
