He was a mighty singer. What has happened the industry ' that there are no singers like this today? I hope the tradition won't be lost.

Beautiful song, sung by a great man, one of An Riadaighs chosen Nobles. Written by Offaly man James Lynam Molly who also wrote some gorgeous books.

It's fairly common to spell it this way in certain parts of Ireland. Some famous gaelic footballers Paidi O Sé, Diarmuid O Sé, Sean O Sè, Darragh O Sé.... All from Kerry.

I for one would have to say that 'gellum' is spot on there, 100% spot on. A more condescending, absorbed in his own sense of importance and arrogant presenter you'll rarely find anywhere.... "all right so.. hup... we all feel like one of your little songs there now etc..." OMG what a terrible way to introduce such a fine singer.
Good man Seán Ó Sé, ar fheabhas, mar is gnáth, ar fheabhas!

Gay meant no harm. It was a figure of speech' which some people often say. We owe him a hell of a debt. He did a hell of a lot' for rural culture. If he hadn't done those Late Late Show Specials' we wouldn't have such a great legacy. Look at The Late Late Show now ' and what it has become.?
