Loved Jennifer York, she plays a mean bass, saw her and the band in Pasadena mid 90's "Shout out to you Jennifer!!"
I moved to another state about 15 years ago, and I've never found a morning news team that I loved more than KTLA. I miss CA and I miss my KTLA people!
It's been a long time since faithfully tuning into the KTLA Morning Show, but came here after hearing about the passing of Sam Rubin. RIP

Was it the Chopper 5 KTLA and Jennifer York when one of the doors of the chopper fell off in flight ? I'm also remembering the Thanksgiving morning broadcast with Eric Spileman interviewing someone with an angry turkey in their shed, that turkey lunged at Eric. Such a long time ago but I too enjoyed their morning show, lots of imitators but none that had the juju that these folks had, it was real it was funny, and they did do the news as well.
KTLA's Hal Fishman was the last real news broadcaster in Los Angeles, after he passed, it all turned into TMZ/short skirts/ stupid bits/etc.
I think your wrong ,Hal Fishman was just so serious in his day of news.when he died they just start making new no be so serious sometimes you need a laugh thing or so sad and bad

What about the Hal!!!! Hal Fishman was #1 in the network, always enjoyed listening to his stories... Especially the comments he made each night, they just made so much sense!
Hal was the best. We remember him and really miss him as well as Jann Carl who does a show called Small Town Big Deal.
Hal Fishman passed away in 2007, long before he could be included in this 2017 video.
And it was a segment featuring the "Morning News."
Saw Carlos on TV when I was in San Diego visiting family. I was thrilled to see him and felt so old seeing his hair going gray. Been watching KTLA Morning News since day 1.
Carlos Ameza has a historic spot in San Diego TV history. First time on SD TV, nobody had seen a Mexican heritage TV reporter before. He first appeared on KFMB TV 8 about 1969 or
1970. A pioneer, back then it was all white guys.
I would agree, remember watching it since the beginning til 1998 when i moved to the Midwest.

I remember Carlos lived in Malibu with his wife Mary and 5 kids, now he's in San Diego... Wow, what I life, and he truly earned it.
Jennifer York, as a kids in 1991, my aunt would called you " that crazy girl in the helicopter"
Whenever I feel too tight and stressed up here in the Northeast, I watch KTLA 5 and everything feels more relaxed! Love the tropical relaxed attitude down there!

Gayle was not a part of the original crew, she was brought in later.
i lived in milwaukee and watched KTLA morning news from my super old DISH network feed back in the mid 90s... i knew more about freeway conditions in LA watching jennifer york than i did in my own city... was DYING to move to LA in the winter time lol

I came to LA in 94 and quickly realized how special that KTLA crew was. Skybabe Jennifer York, Sam, Mark, Michaela, it was a very special time. That KTLA really exemplified the fun, energy, and buzz of Los Angeles at the time. That ensemble at KTLA in the 90s was very, very special.
They were such a great team! Miss those days.
Thanks for uploading this. I always wondered what happened to Barbara and it's good to see she's doing well. I used to set my VCR to record the whole thing and would come home from school to watch it.

I was usually at work when they aired, so I taped it. Still have the VHS tapes in storage (alas, no VCR). Great to see the originals again.

I use to watch you every morning from Arizona (ROTFL)> My daughter use to say "MOM! You know we don't live in Cali any more. Why are you watching LA News?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Because I like the People.... Sam, Carlos, Jennifer (what a Riot), Michelle, Mark, Hal. I watched until I relocated to the midwest. I didn't need the news, I needed to see and FEEL GOOD PEOPLE DOING WHAT THEY CLEARLY LOVED, bringing that AWESOME JUJU. Omg I’m so glad I found this. It sounds so weird, but it was such an integral part of my childhood just waking up and getting ready and watching KTLA with my grandma and then the evening news with Hal Fishman.

Lived in Coachella Valley and they were our news channel favorite back in the 90’s . What a crazy crew, laughed a lot in those !
I'm just glad some of them got the help they needed like learning how to read braille.
Around 1996, KTLA had the best morning newscast I have ever seen -- and then other stations started hiring away their talent and it was "all over."
I think Carlos was at KTTV for a time, and Giselle went to KABC, I think.
I loved their show, and I watched it every morning in the 1980's . They really made my day !

Chris and Henry are hilarious. They get the morning started right! Who can ever forget Chris laughing after Henry gave a birthday greeting to Hugh Janus! 🤣 that was the greatest moment on live tv!!
I remember a "phallic" satellite weather system transforming from flaccid to engorged and Henry absolutely losing it, but not being able to say why on air.

The only other news station I enjoyed as much was in Nashville. But they made every morning enjoyable when Carlos and Barbara were on. The drive to work was great.
