Didn’t have enough gas. And or had too much wire speed and voltage. I have a 110/220 welder and I use 110’fir everything because my shop doesn’t have the right 220 plug.

I need to wire up a 220 myself. I’m honestly quite shocked that this old wiring holds up to anything. The entire thing needs rewired but I’m planning on building a big post frame shop in the open lot next to this

Lmk on what u think on welding the diff and daily it?? Would it break and what would it take to fix it?

I have ran 2 cars with a welded diff driven daily. If your welder is powerful enough and your welds are good clean and strong there should be no issues breaking. BUT. You will wear thru tires fast. Not from drifting but just from making turns and such. I had one break on me and luckily it didn’t lock up. But worst case is it breaks and locks up the diff. Which depending on speed and location could be terrifying. So it’s a “at your own risk” with driving a welded diff daily. If it’s your only vehicle I would suggest not doing so

@@The_Project_Pitt thanks for the suggestion as I'm young and dumb and it is my only car. And just got the car lol. But also just wanna have fun...

@@deadpoolsway1884 thats understandable. if it were my only car and just got it i would advise you not to weld it. best bet is to find a factory Locking diff and swap it in. If its a mustang just get a junkyard GT rear end.

How is it holding up wanting to do this to my project

Been holding up fine. To V6 power. I will not be using this rear end for the v8 swap. I’d recommend a more powerful welder and use plates on welding a diff for long term use.
