- Hey guys!
Ever since I heard this song for the first time I've wanted to cover it, I feel a bit late on the train covering this track (especially now when they just released 3 new tracks, not really the best time haha) but it was sure about time! I had so much fun playing to these well written and groovy drum parts, I also put more of my own touch for this cover which I usually don't do that much, but this song had some more room for that haha!
As always is this a one-take recording, mix done by Douglas Hammarstam.

@@KholmDrums Camera and videography has gotten better over the years. Playing and mixes have been super sick for a long time, nothing to change there, keep up the good work.
I would maybe suggest to bring back some colored lights to add some flavor to the video, I remember you had some in previous covers and I liked that.
@@AlexNourse52 Ah yeah that stuffed improved alot since I got a new editing software haha! Much easier to work with colour grading!
Oh yeah those ones, I found it hard getting the light I wanted while using them, but maybe I should give them another try again!

Btw. how long did it take you to perfect your swivel technique and how much did you practice? (I'm working on it, but don't want to learn it wrong. If the knee starts to hurt it's bad, so I try to avoid that. It's hard to get the right feel for me. How did it work out for you?)
Huge thanks buddy! I started naturally doing the swiwel with my left foot after a few months of playing double bass around 200 bpm+, my body felt that my foot started to get tense and it answered with swiwel haha! Tried to copy it with my right foot but it was like a own point of focus which caught me off guard keeping the time, kind of just forget about swiwel with my right and after a year or so it started to join the left foot haha! As soon my body had it in the muscle memory I just tried to practise as much as possible, not necessarily the swiwel, but just overall play more, with time I started to feel some kind of flow and ever since have I been practise from there haha!

@@DWoyster12 Yeah forcing practising ain't much fun.... Do what you find fun, which then will lead you to play more and then progress more!
do you use grip tape? if so, what brand? does it help with hand cramping?
I do! Usually I go with Wilson grip tape but I tried another brand which worked as fine (can’t remember now what it’s called.. I wanted a thicker stick and Promark dosen’t have a thicker one after their 2B unless you go for the marching sticks, so the grip tape helped with that, I also get hand sweat sometimes, so it’s such a life saver then haha!
