In this video I go over the process of adding a rapid fire mod chip in your PS5 Dualsense Controller. Not only is this a rapid fire mod but it also adds the capability of adding reprogrammable back buttons as well!

after installing the mod my buttons seems broken, have to use triangle instead of square and dpad is inverted too
Why don't you use the smaller tact tile buttons the 5x5x5 mm do the ones you use last longer?
How hard would it be to mod a left stick offset layout. Even if I have to 3D print a new top plate etc. ?

Hello, I looked at your estsy store, you don’t sell a controller with the same settings as in the video? I would have liked to have had a mode for apex legend (yes I suck at this point).
I sold all the ones that had the custom spiderman/ venom graphics. Now I'm just making led ones with this mod chip in it.

How do I map the mod button to k4 on a rise4 backplate?
Where do you mount the leds to get the sticks to glow? Are the D-pad and other buttons just that bright that they glow the sticks too
If you check out my rainbow led controller build video I quickly show where I mount the LED to illuminate the sticks. Each stick has its own LED
Quick question @jmagg if you don't Souder L1/L2 and R1/R2 to the mod chip do the buttons become non remapable because you did not Souder to the mod chip. Being the reason you hold all 4 down to set the back buttons
Yes if you don't solder those connections from the shoulder buttons it will not work correctly
@@JMAGG yea I just noticed mine was preset lol was like oh fuq lol my tactile buttons are a lil big, controller won't close all the way. Think ima have to take out the rumble pack for it to fit good
I have a strange issue I wanted to add the back pedals and now when I scoop it shoots each time. Measured for shorts but nothing. Reset does not solve the issue. I need some advice.
When you install the back button ribbon cable on top of the mod chip it has to be lined up perfectly or it will make the controller do strange things. I have a bright LED I hold above the ribbon so I can see through it and align it perfectly. Then I hot glue the sides to ensure it doesn't move

How can you program the actual flex board for rapid fire? Also where can you have them made?
You get them from consolecustoms. Link should be in the description. They come preprogrammed, to activate rapid fire you just double tap left
I’m just curious how the programming is done? Is it like C++ or some other language.
@@dt8921 not sure on the language but there is a small microchip on the board that is programmed from an external board. They're able to program a bunch of the chips all at once then they pop them out and solder them to the rapid fire board

is it compatible with BDM20 motherboard? i see u have a BDM10 and the soldering point for powering the chip is in a different location than on my BDM 20
Yes the model one from console customs has multiple power connections for support of the 10 and 20 motherboard

@@Gamez4Breakfast if you have the new mod chip, I believe it's v1.02, and place it over the contacts, the power connection lines right up so you can solder it.

What I mean to say is that if there is such thing as a modified controller that could be custom made for the R1 button of the controller to register more than 1 hit when pressed down (maybe 2 for one click?) an example of a game could be Minecraft. Thank you a lot for your time.
@@poodlemynoodle2622 yes this mod Chip can do that. You can switch the mod Chip to trigger mode then set it to burst x2. Then when you press down on R1 it will send in 2 clicks automatically even though you only pressed it once.

@@poodlemynoodle2622 I actually just realized that the rapid fire version 1.0 chip doesn't support the R1 feature. So if you order a chip make sure it's the rapid fire version 1.01 which now supports the R1 features.

I did this mod to my controller, however my touchpad doesn’t work anymore. It clicks but I can’t move the cursor on it. Anyone know how to fix this?
You may have to disconnect then reconnect the touch pad ribbon cable

No I haven't seen anything like that yet. I'd try doing a master reset on the chip. If that doesn't work I'd recommend contacting Chris at console customs.

Is this the same mod chip as Mz Titan or are they completely different?
Completely different. Mz Titan uses an annoying app full of micro transactions in order to use your controller. This chip has everything on it already.

One of my buttons doesn't work sometimes but when I have the controller open and turned on, the button works fine, any suggestions?
The pad that touches the contacts isn't lined up correctly and perfectly so when you close the controller it moves even more causing it to act funny

@@superasian97 the pads that get sandwiched between the motherboard and the front ribbon that connects to the front buttons of the controller.

Does anyone know how to troubleshoot the remapping function? I have 4 buttons and all register an input, but I can't get into the remap function.
Hold down l1 l2 r1 and r2 all at the same time for about 8 seconds. Status led will flash, once it does let go of the buttons.
Now you can assign each button by holding down the button you want to assign then tap the corresponding button you want it to be. Once you do all of them tap L3 and it will save. I also have a video of this on my channel. It's my newest video

Mainly for semi auto, but if you activate it on fully auto it acts as anti recoil

Is it possible to install a rise kit to this controller?
Yes but it's very hard. You have to line it up perfectly on top of the mod chip and glue it down on the sides. If you don't glue it and it slightly moved the mod chip will go crazy

I miss the old rapid fire mods for like xbox 360 controllers lol unload a whole clip of a gun in a second in the original Mw2. At least 3x as fast as this lol maybe theres a way to make this faster?

In PvE modes though this’d be extremely helpful I guess
while there's no way for a game to detect you're using it, the game can see consistency in usage. if you only use the strongest DMR in the game that you fire at the same fast pace everytime in rhythm, you're gonna get banned.

When you activate rapid fire on a fully auto weapon it slows down the rate of fire slightly and acts as anti recoil
@@JMAGG okay but that sounds like to much work bc let's say ur in a gun fight and a guy shooting from far the rapid fire would work but let's say ur up close. In apex.. a gun fight and I want to shoot normal than ima have to hold sumthing down can't do that in a gun fight

No, the only mod that will really work for NBA is an external mod box called the coronus max. But each time you play online you would have to adjust the release because of the latency of your connection to the NBA servers.

The person who I built this controller for didn't want them. But I've made other controllers with LEDs everywhere with rapid fire

No, it's undetectable. It you use something like the chronus Zen however you can get banner because that's an actual device that you plug into the ps5 or ps4
