Love this video and hearing your personal experiences on the matter!
It’s good that you realized how you were feeling in a month rather than in years.
I’ve been watching you for a good bit because of your mental health content.
Finding your “niche” early in life earlier is hard. It’s been impressive watching you grow and settle into the man you are becoming. You are a wonderful example for others to follow.
Thanks for all your content. I’m not in law in any shape or form, thankfully, yet I still find your law content useful at times for other life “stuff”.
@@julianinlaw I feel like I get the same from you. If I’m having a low day, I just look up one of your vids. 💖
Thanks for being open and showing me I’m not alone.
Really great insights - thanks Julian
Great video Julian. I was wondering if you could possibly do a video on extra-curriculars during law school and what law journals are like, if you did that during school? Ty!
You have more confidence than your job does, therefore they need you, not the other way around.
I’m a first year in my sixth month. I’m miserable and feel embarrassed that I am miserable this early on. I’m realizing this job does not resonate with me. I’m wondering whether it is my firm or my group that I am just not gelling with or whether it is the job itself. I’m in biglaw and basically went with the most prestigious law firm that gave me an offer while a law student.
Can you share your life now that you’ve quit?
So do you ever think issues such as mental health etc would ever been a thing considered in big law?? Like there’s been so many s******* in this field really the judicial system and other fellow attorneys should look into this some of it can be inhumane and morality perspective.!
Unfortunately I don't think firms know how to take the issue seriously so it's more important than ever that individuals take matters into their own hands and set strict boundaries to protect themselves.
You not knowing the trick to moving data around from Excel to Word in less than 2 minutes gives me hope
Growth? Innovation?
You practice LAW!!!!
JUST do your damn job and protect people
what do u do now?
Thank you for talking about the dehumanizing aspect of working from home. That's the main thing I've been struggling with since the pandemic. You take away the casual celebration and camaraderie of an office setting and you're basically left with pressure and avatars. The WFH flexibility is not worth it if you don't even have time to take advantage of it or are having panic attacks everyday.
