Ok but as someone who took four years of graphic design classes, you DO need a brand guide. Specifically, you need ME to make you a brand guide. Please, I need to know that everything I've learned about kerning, color theory, target audiences and the rule of thirds was worth something.
What’s a brand guide?
@@moonshineaudios5740 it's a document of rules you use to keep branding consistent, such as "this is the font we always use for headlines", "only put our logo on black and white photos", "stick to two of these four specific colors if you're making pamphlets or flyers for us", etc. These days they also include social media guides like "each tweet from our profile should end with one of these emojis", "only share posts that use this specific hashtag" and language guidelines like which type of slang they can or cannot use when commenting from an official account.
As a fellow graphic designer, what you know is useful and needed. It's just that convincing clients not only of that but that we deserve a livable wage for our skill is the hardest part on top of them respecting we're not jack of all trades.
Honestly courses/colleges need to focus on how to close with clients at the prices we need and contracts or have profs. use nepotism to get their students jobs 😫

Awesome video. I am small CZcamsr, and I think that for small channels the most important thing is to get good presence from the beginning. If you are not popular, people won't care even if you have the best videos and the best content on platform. I am not beginner anymore, but I know how hard it can be (and honestly if I didn't use a lot of Fame- ster, I would have quit a long time ago. It made everything much easier for me, especially getting to 1000 subs and view hours).

I work in marketing and it pains me to say how accurate a lot of what he's saying actually is. Having a consistent brand across platforms, having a google panel, and networking on twitter by approaching journalists are all legitimate ways to improve your visibility and brand recognition. The problem is that you can have the best marketing in the world and get absolutely nowhere if you have no talent or financial backing.
It's the way he talks about them. Ofc consistency and getting your name out there are positives, but he makes it seem as if just liking tweets will make you the next Meghan Markle, that makes it seem so dishonest. If he calmed down a bit (and by a bit i mean a lot) and actually talked reasonably, those are valid things to maintain an image. Just that they arent a cheat code to fame like he makes it out to be

Danny's content has been transitioning way more into more skit focused content, with less reactionary stuff and more opportunities for skits, and I've really been enjoying it! I think it is a really good balance of "oh my god wtf is this person doing" and "oh my god what is danny doing".

Beginnings can be stressful. I was working hard and wasn't really getting noticed. The thing is when you are small no one cares about you and you grow really slowly. Becoming influencer is just marketing and nothing else. No one cares about content. People will be only looking at the numbers. So what I did was to go to fame-ster and got myself couple thousand of initial followers. After that my account just exploded and started growing naturally.
